Luckily, Thailand is brimming with cosmetics shops left and right! So here I am, sharing with you my favourite places to buy makeup in Thailand for local and international brands!

EVEANDBOY is a cosmetic lover’s paradise. You’ll end up browsing rows and rows of makeup counters for hours because of the wide array of brands and products.

We love that you can get local and international makeup brands that come in varying price points. You can find various beauty products from Thailand, Japan, Korea, and the US—they also have exclusive brands, like Espoir, Mamonde, and Klavuu!

Another convenient thing is you can find this cosmetic shop pretty much anywhere in Thailand. You can find them in most malls, but their flagship is in The Underground in Siam Square One.

When we went, the salespeople were also super helpful! But we want to note that it’s not the same for all branches.

It was also disappointing that some price tags didn’t match the product’s final price at the cashier. It was probably a one-time mistake since we didn’t encounter that problem in all the branches we went to.

Pros

  • Local and international brands
  • Exclusive brands are only available here
  • Products have varying price points
  • Lots of branches in Thailand

Cons

  • Customer service can be hit or miss
  • Instances of price tags not matching the product

So many products available with moderate prices

“Before I came into this store I had no idea that there could be so many cosmetics in one store. Unlike in European stores here you’ll find so many brands and all kinds of creams, serums, masks and so on. It was almost hard to decide which one to take and try out first. There’s a lot of staff ready to answer all the questions and help you choose the right item. Prices are moderate with quite a few things on offer. I wish I had this choice in my hometown.”

Good balance of local and international brands

“Great place for beauty lovers and makeup junkies! You do have to check-in any bulky bags at the front of the store in exchange for a tag. Security will take care of your belongings while you’re prancing around the massive store with a good mix of local thai and international brands. I love that the store assistants are not too pushy and get you to purchase everything you swatch like in most other beauty emporiums. Would visit again!”

For the ultimate cosmetics shopping experience, head over to Beautrium. They have a massive presence in Thailand because you can find them in most major shopping malls.

Their flagship store in Siam Square had us in awe! The two-storey cosmetics shop is a one-stop destination for all your beauty needs, like makeup, skincare, and even snacks!

We were just iffy about customer service for foreign nationals who don’t speak Thai. It can be tough to communicate if you want to ask about the products or have trouble with payments.

The product range is to die for, with lots of Asian and Western beauty brands, especially the hottest Thai makeup. They have 2P Original (for affordable products) and Charmiss (for the best cream blushes!).

The variety is pretty unique because some products you won’t find in other Southeast Asian countries, and they carry exclusive brands. You’ll find affordable and high-end makeup, which makes them a solid choice, budget-wise.

Pros

  • Massive presence in Thailand
  • Flagship store has two floors
  • Wide variety of local and international brands
  • Carries exclusive brands
  • Plenty of budget-friendly options

Cons

  • Hiccups with customer service
  • Not all branches are tourist-friendly

Huge and convenient shop

“The first and number one makeup store in siam square one. My go-to place! It has local brands, korean brands, even international brands. The place has two stories (second floor for makeup tools etc). As the place is huge, it is convenience to move around eventhough there are lots of people. Must-visit if you are in the area!”

One of the most accessible cosmetics shops you’ll find near you in Thailand is Boots. It’s not exclusively a makeup shop but a pharmacy that also sells beauty products!

The good thing about this place is you can find it almost anywhere in Thailand. They’re not as big as other cosmetics stores on our list, but they’re still a convenient place for everything you need.

But since Boots is a UK company, it’s not the ideal place if you’re looking for Thai cosmetics must-haves. On the bright side, they offer UK makeup that are hard to find anywhere else, like No7 and Soap & Glory.

As for the prices, they’re pretty much the same as other cosmetics shops in the area. But if you’re a traveller, you’ll probably find them cheaper than other countries.

We also like how easy it is to find the things you need. The shop’s straightforward—not overwhelming and easy to browse.

Pros

  • Pharmacy and cosmetics shop in one
  • Offers UK-exclusive brands
  • Easily accessible
  • Decent prices

Cons

  • Not ideal for local brands
  • Stores are small

Convenient place with good prices

“Thai cosmetics, a store specializing in cosmetics, are very good and the price is cheaper than many other stores. Every time I go to Bangkok, Thailand, I visit all Boots branches to conveniently buy cosmetics, cosmetics, shampoo, toothpaste, hair care, face and body care. In general, it’s ok, and remember to register as a member to get additional discounts”

Tony Khoa, Google Review

All-in-one destination for health and beauty

“Boots is a health, beauty and pharmacy chain located throughout Bangkok. Product selection is excellent throughout a wide range of brand name and local manufacturers of cosmetics, vitamins and related items. Product selection varies with store size. Most have pharmacy’s and pharmacists on duty. I find their customer service exceptional and they have often called other stores to help me find an out of stock item. Prices are comparable with other stores of the same lineage.”

One of the biggest pharmacy-slash-cosmetics shops is Watsons, having over 8000 stores in Asia and Europe. It’s super accessible because it’s all over Thailand—you probably have one near you!

It’s a place where you can get everything you need (for men and women!) because of the huge selection! It’s also a budget-friendly option because most brands are super affordable for locals and tourists.

If you want to discover new products from Thai cosmetics, there are many here, such as 2P Original, Cute Press, and Beauty Buffet. Plus, you’ll see many international brands, mainly affordable brands, like Canmake and Barenbliss.

The customer service we experienced was good, but it’s not the same for others. It’s 50/50, depending on the branches and the makeup counters.

In addition, this particular branch we went to was a little hot, so maybe upping the air conditioning would be ideal. But don’t worry, it’s not the same for other branches.

Pros

  • Easily accessible
  • Plenty of selection for men and women
  • Plenty of local brands
  • Affordable international brands

Cons

  • Customer service is not consistent
  • Some branches are hot inside

Good prices for cosmetics

“Splurging money here, skincare and make up with a good price. They accept credit card too.”

putri pratiwi, Google Review

Conveniently located

“The shop is very beautiful and has a lot to choose from. Lovely staff Good location near BTS Siam. The shop is next to the road, very convenient. Even if you come late at night, you can still shop. The shop closes at 11 p.m., great.”

If you’re looking for a place that sells high-end cosmetics, go to Sephora in Thailand! It’s just like the stores in the US, with a good layout that allows you to see all the brands in one visit.

But since this is a luxury cosmetics shop, don’t expect to find budget-friendly options (there’s a wide shade range here, though). It’s for locals and tourists who want to buy high-end international brands.

We loved the huge selection during our visit, including Fenty Beauty, Rare Beauty, Drunk Elephant, and Sephora’s own exclusive collection. If you love watching international beauty videos, you’ll most likely find the products here!

Sadly, we noticed that some of their products are actually pricier than in the US. But we understand it may be due to shipping and taxes.

The customer service isn’t as rosy as we initially expected. But most salespeople we spoke with were really nice and helpful, especially when looking for stocks.

Pros

  • A high-end cosmetics shop
  • Wide range of shades available
  • Store is just like the US shops
  • Wide range of international brands

Cons

  • No local brands available
  • Expensive prices
  • Some issues with customer service

Personalized customer service

“I recently had the pleasure of shopping at Sephora and was thoroughly impressed by the personalized attention and exceptional customer service. From the moment I walked in until I left, I felt valued and well-advised. The staff were attentive to my needs, offering personalized recommendations and taking the time to introduce me to various products that perfectly matched my requirements. This level of customer service is rare and has only strengthened my loyalty to Sephora. An unparalleled shopping experience!”

Thomas Schamal, Google Review

Trusted cosmetics shop

“Sephora!!! The name you can trust. Very good shop or outlet, whatever you want to say. You will find all popular brands are available here. Good quality product. Staff are very friendly. Randomly visit sephora in different countries.”
