Bangkok Aesthetics Clinic immediately stood out to us because of its wide variety of treatments—an instant A+ in our books. And our confidence grew more when we saw that they’ve been around for more than 35 years!

But what impressed us the most was their wide variety of services. For instance, they offer treatments that can help people with blemishes, breakouts, excessive sweating and more!

Another aspect that stood out was their acne scar treatment. Aside from seeing the before and after results we found, what sold us further was how they explained the treatment behind them.

One of the ways Bangkok Aesthetics Clinic solves acne scarring is by laser treatment using their facility’s state-of-the-art technology. From what we’ve seen, this method not only minimises visible scarring but also generates new collagen. 

They also offer pigmentation laser treatments for those suffering from dark spots, blemishes and melasma (mask of pregnancy). What we liked about this treatment is it uses the latest technology and doesn’t cause harm to the surrounding area.

On the downside, we must mention that several clients we surveyed felt that the clinic’s services are overpriced. 

If you can look past this issue, however, we’re confident that you’re in good hands, given Bangkok Aesthetics Clinic’s track record, proven service, and fantastic facilities.

When it comes to technological innovations in the skin care industry, one name that stood out to us was Kritthada Clinic. We say this mostly because of their PicoSure Pro Laser.

This advanced laser is what they use for treating several cases such as blemishes, freckles, skin tags and of course, discolouration and acne scarring.

What’s particularly special about this laser is its 755 nm wavelength range. We won’t dive too much into the technicalities of it, but from what they claim, this specific wavelength is better and faster treatments with faster results.

Also, this “pro” version of the laser has several enhancements that the non-pro variation lacks, one of which is being able to manually control the power settings.

This state-of-the-art laser isn’t just this clinic’s strong point, however, as their facilities are well-maintained and up-to-date as well! Plus, the clinic features a talented roster of professionals who have several years of experience under their belt.

Something we wish they could improve upon is their pricing. Although we get that they use the latest technology available today, we still feel like they’re overcharging for their services.

We’ve also heard from one of their past clients that the price they present on the initial consultation tends to change on the day of the treatment. We can see this bothering potential clients, especially when they’ve already set a budget.

Metro Bangkok Clinic is another famous name in the industry that we had high hopes for, and fortunately, it lived up to the hype! 

Right off the bat, we can say that this is one of the sleekest and modern clinics in the city. With its well-maintained and elegant rooms, we can see first-timers feeling instantly comfortable, which is nice since these treatments are often seen as something scary.

Speaking of being comfortable, one of the things that we appreciated about this clinic is how they handle their patients. Based on our interviews with their past clients, the staff did a great job of walking them through everything that would be done in the treatment.

The aforementioned treatments they offer here are impressively varied as well, featuring botoxes, thermages, chemical peels and more. Furthermore, these treatments are accompanied by advanced technology.

One perfect example of this is their Intensive Pulse Light (IPL), which aims to lessen or eliminate acne scars, unwanted hair and pigmented lesions. 

They also have a high-intensity laser that can help in hyperpigmentation issues as well as tattoo removals.

As for its lowlights, we were disappointed to find out from some of their past clients whom we interviewed that they had varying quality in their results. Some were pleased with their treatments while others weren’t as thrilled.

Another thing that we think they could improve upon is their staff’s timeliness. We’ve had interviewees voice their disappointment when their doctors showed up far later than what the agreed appointment time was.

Dermaster was a name that we were all too familiar with before we even started writing this review thanks to its partnerships with local celebrities. Upon further digging though, we found out that it’s more than just the hype!

For starters, we were surprised to see just how varied their services are, offering treatments for anti-ageing, augmentations and many more. 

What stood out to us the most, however, is their treatment called “Venus Treatment”. It’s an all-in-one service that aims to address a variety of facial problems like fine lines, wrinkles, sagging skin, uneven skin tones and acne scarring.

Plus, the best thing about the Venus Treatment is that it’s comfortable! The only thing you need to consider is the warmth of the applicator, but even that can be adjusted to your comfort.

Something that we weren’t fond of was that they can be quite unresponsive at times, which could be because of how in-demand they are. Still, we thought that this kind of customer service is a bit lacklustre, especially at this calibre.

It’s also worth noting that the clinic is fairly new to the scene, only having 13+ years of experience under its belt. Although we don’t particularly have a gripe with this, some people seriously take this into account when choosing a clinic they can trust.

We wanted to include Bumrungrad International Hospital for those who are hesitant to enter small clinics around the city. However, this can be a double-edged sword, as some people are scared of hospitals.

Nonetheless, this doesn’t take away the fact that this private hospital is one of the best places for acne scar and hyperpigmentation treatments. For starters, they feature the latest pieces of equipment for their treatments, being a private hospital and all.

One of the ways they put these tools into use is through their non-ablative laser resurfacing treatment. We wanted to highlight this service because we think that it’s one of the most advanced and effective ways of eliminating irregular pigmentation.

They also offer IPL, which is also an advanced way of treating hyperpigmentation and acne scarring.

Some other treatments that can alleviate acne scarring and pigmentation include injections and chemical peels. 

If you’re unsure of what treatment you need to do, you can speak with one of their expert dermatologists. These medical professionals are worth highlighting as well, as they’ve been reported to walk clients through the different treatments they offer.

If we were to nitpick things we didn’t like about this hospital, however, it would be its pricey rates and sometimes tardy doctors. The pricey rates are pretty much a given since this is indeed a private hospital after all.

The bigger red flag for us is the tardiness that was reported by some of their past clients.

Overall, Bumrungrad is still a solid hospital that offers various skin treatments using the most advanced technology to date.
