Exploring Chiang Rai on a Honda Wave 12cc from B-RIDER was exactly what was needed for a stress-free ride through both the city streets and mountain roads. Booking was seamless using WhatsApp—they responded within minutes and had the bike ready the moment we arrived.
The bike was in solid shape, smooth to handle, and didn’t give us any trouble, even when heading out to Singha Park and climbing up towards the Big Buddha. The flexibility in the deposit was a nice touch, too.
Instead of handing over passports, a cash deposit was accepted, which made us feel more at ease.
One thing to be cautious about, though, is the fuel. You’ll have to return the bike with the same amount it had or risk losing what you overfilled. There’s no refund for any extra fuel you leave in the tank.
Aside from that, the whole process—from delivery to hotel pickup—was smooth and reliable. It’s a decent option if you’re looking for responsive service and easy logistics while in town.
Excellent motobikes
“The motorbike was in excellent condition and was delivered directly to our hotel. We had to catch a bus at 7 AM, which was earlier than their opening time (8 AM), but they made it easy by arranging for the deposit to be left at the hotel. We simply handed the key to the receptionist to complete the return process.”

No nonsense rental
“Well deserved 5 Stars. No nonsense rental, super easy, good bike, fair price, wide selection of helmets and a sturdy phone bracket for easy navigation.”

Some of the bikes in the lineup have clearly seen better days, especially those with noticeably high mileage. You’ll want to inspect your unit carefully before signing off, especially if you’re planning long rides or heading into rougher terrain.
Despite that, the selection here is surprisingly varied for a small rental shop. One friend picked the Honda ADV 160 with a top box, which was in solid condition and handled mountain curves and gravel patches without issues.
Another opted for a Honda CBX500 bigbike, which came with fresh tires and all the essentials—perfect for exploring spots like the Golden Triangle and tea plantations.
The team at the shop spoke clear English and was upfront about all the conditions. Deposits could be made in cash or with a passport, which they store securely. The process was efficient—no drawn-out paperwork—and pickup went smoothly.
Fuel policy is full-to-full, and the return was straightforward, even when the bike came back dusty from the mountain roads.
Everything went smoothly from rental to return
“I arrived at the rental place at 7:50 AM, and everything was already up and running. I rented a Honda Click with a monthly payment plan. Despite the high mileage, it runs like clockwork. They changed the oil right away and filled the tank with gas. I’ve been riding without any issues.”
Super fun to ride
“Rented a bike from here to take a trip to Doi Mae Salong (mountain village) and another trip to the Choi Fong plantation (different day) from downtown chiang Rai. I asked for a bike that could go up the mountain. The bike worked perfectly and I probably would have been able to do both trips on one tank of gas. I topped up twice and (before both trips) and when I returned the bike it was still pretty full (not even one notch down). Left the 3000 baht deposit and when I returned it they basically checked that I returned the bike in one piece and then gave me my whole deposit back. No trying to take extra or anything. I had the bike for 2 days 300 baht per day and it was the best! Super fun to ride, gas isn’t expensive, and I was able to look and do so much! Definitely recommend renting from these guys! Also everyone spoke English well and they give you a rundown on how to work the bike (on off, opening gas and seat, lights, etc. ) 10/10”

Riding out with a Honda Click 125 from PP Motorbike turned out to be a smooth experience from the start. The owner was polite and handled the entire process with a calm, no-fuss attitude.
Most of the bikes on the site looked polished and well-maintained, with low mileage—something that’s surprisingly rare if you’ve rented across different parts of Thailand.
One of us had a minor scrape during the trip, and the way it was handled was fair—no pressure or inflated damage costs. That alone speaks volumes about how this shop treats its customers.
Helmets were clean and in good condition, and communication wasn’t a problem since the staff spoke English well. It was easy to ask questions about local routes, and they didn’t rush us through the process.
The paperwork was light, and you’re good to go once you provide a passport or cash deposit. Everything moved quickly and efficiently.
The only catch is that the location can be a little tricky to spot. It’s not on a main road, so you might want to use precise map coordinates when heading there.
Staff are nice, friendly, and professional
“Too bad i can’t put 6 stars! These ladies are sooo nice, friendly and very professional. The bikes are top quality and very well looked after. The prices are fair. You just know you can trust them! The staff and the bikes. We hired a 125cc Click and it was more reliable and powerful than any other scooters I rent in Thailand, including the 150 and 160cc! I know what I’m talking about. I have been riding motorcycles in Australia for 5 years.”

Renting was very easy
“Bike was brand new and in great condition, renting was very easy. We got a Honda click for a very fair price. Deposit was 2000 baht and was given back with no hesitation.”

JJ Motorbike Rentals made things pretty straightforward from the moment we walked in. The selection was surprisingly wide—from simple 125cc scooters to high-cc motorcycles that could handle longer trips out to the mountains.
The unit we took, a 125cc scooter, was in solid condition and handled Chiang Rai’s winding roads without any hiccups. The staff at the shop spoke excellent English, which made explaining preferences and understanding policies much easier.
However, messaging them was a bit of a wait. The response on DMs took longer than expected, so it might be better to call or drop by directly if you’re planning ahead or have urgent questions.
That aside, the in-person service was efficient. The rental process didn’t drag on, and ID or cash deposits were accepted, while helmets came with the rental and were clean and functional.
One of the best touches? The owner gave route tips and pointed out places off the tourist radar. If it’s your first time renting a bike in Thailand, this shop keeps it low-pressure and helpful.

This shop sits quietly on the corner, but a quick stop proved it had more to offer than expected. The staff welcomed our questions without pushing for a commitment, and everything—from deposit terms to insurance coverage—was laid out clearly.
Their lineup leaned toward newer units, and most of the scooters looked well-kept. The owner also took time to explain a few useful day-trip routes, especially one heading north toward Mae Sai, which made us wish we had more time to ride that direction.
The helmets were clean, the return process was honest, and they didn’t require your actual passport—just a copy and a cash deposit.
One noticeable thing, however, was the slight difference in rental prices depending on where you’re from. Based on what we heard on the spot, some were charged more simply for not being Thai, even if the booking terms were otherwise the same.
Awesome rental shop
“Nice owners, they only require a copy of your passport and a deposit of 200 USD / 5000 baht. You get the scooter with a full tank and return it with a full tank. They are not scammers. I definitely recommend it.”
– Pavel Janura, Google Review
Reliable rental shop
“I was just looking back on my pictures from a year ago when I rented a scooter from Nice Rentals and I’m hoping to return again in a few month to rent again from them . Great company, easy service and reliable. I was a female traveling alone to the Golden Triangle and had zero issues. The owners are very good people and make sure all the checks are made to get you on the road safely. Full deposit 3000 tbt returned with no quibble and they take only a photo copy of your passport so you don’t need to worry about not having it in your possession when you are travelling around.”
