This locksmith service offers the basics like key duplication for house and car keys, making of master keys, and re-keying, to name a few. For cars, they also offer an immobiliser key system and opening service for when you get locked out. 

Too bad this locksmith isn’t open 24 hours. However, there are lots of other things that still make it the top choice on our list.

Customers that we’ve spoken to say that Magnano gives the bang for your buck, and we agree. 

We dropped by this Magnano branch to get a house key duplicated, and we had fast, top-notch service from their courteous staff. We also found their available payment methods very convenient because you can use either cash, credit or do an online transfer. 

However, you should still manage your expectations. Nobody’s perfect, so it’s normal to hear of instances where Magnano Service couldn’t provide a working key (that’s why they have a service warranty) or couldn’t produce the intended product within a reasonable timeframe.

This is true for The Mall Bhang Khae Branch and the rest of its network.

The first thing that we liked about this locksmith is its 24-hour service. Although its physical shop closes at 4:00 PM, you can still avail of their services at any other time of the day just by calling them.

They promise to provide prompt service regardless of the time, and so far, they’re fulfilling this promise. Most customers we’ve talked to confirmed to have received service within 30 minutes to an hour after calling for an appointment.

We stopped by their shop to get a car keyfob replacement and were surprised to know that Mr Tai, the locksmith operating the shop, is quite a young man. But don’t let his age fool you; he is very knowledgeable and meticulous at what he does! 

We also got our new keyfob quickly because of the shop’s modern tools. Tai makes it a point to update himself with the latest technology, especially in car locks.

Chang Tai Lock Shop’s prices are also very affordable, sometimes even lower than locksmiths in malls. This locksmith service is very professional with a very fair price.

BangkokKey24 is a team of professional locksmiths in Din Daeng, Bangkok. We love that they offer prompt locksmithing service for any time of the day, which is a lifesaver, especially when you’ve lost your keys or got locked out of your home or vehicle in the middle of the night.

They’re not as big or famous as other locksmiths we’ve tried, but most of their customers laud their excellent locksmithing services. Unfortunately, some customers we’ve talked to got the short end of the stick and experienced subpar service.

Perhaps one contributor to their negative reviews is the quality of this locksmith’s communication with customers. Some customers we’ve asked said that the staff talk to customers in a rude tone; sometimes, it even gets confusing whether a locksmith’s visit will push through or not. 

We didn’t experience this ourselves, but we hope BangkokKey24 improves how they talk to their customers. For the customer’s end, we suggest taking extra care in talking to BangkokKey24 to avoid miscommunication and keeping cool if you encounter a staff member having a bad day.

Locksmith Ramkhamhaeng by P’ Uncle (let’s call them “Uncle,” for brevity) is a locksmith in the Bang Kapi district of Bangkok, around 20 minutes from Asoke. They offer key duplicates of house and vehicle keys (even car remote keys) and unlocking services.

We chose this locksmith as the next item on our list because it’s also an affordable locksmith available 24/7. 

It has a physical shop that’s only open from noon to midnight. But, to cater to customers who accidentally leave their keys inside their house or car (or worse, lose them), this locksmith is on call any time of the day for lock-related concerns. 

Here’s how we got to know Uncle: a CleverThai staff member locked himself out of his home one evening and called Uncle for help. He was very impressed with how fast Uncle arrived and unlocked his door – he even learned new knowledge on locks because of how clearly Uncle explained the process to him.

Another thing we love about Uncle’s service is that they take the law and customer security seriously. They wouldn’t open the locks to a vehicle with a lost key parked in a public place unless the customer can show proof of vehicle ownership. 

However, we’re a bit disappointed that Uncle only caters to customers in certain areas of Bangkok: the Ramkhamhaeng area, Hua Mak, Bang Kapi, Ladprao, Phatthanakan, and Khlong Tan, Lamsalee, and Suan Luang. We hope that as the business flourishes, Uncle’s services will reach more areas.

Key Yellow is a locksmith service in the Wang Thonglang district of Bangkok. Its manager, Mr Suraphon Banphata, is known as the “yellow locksmith” himself.

Like other locksmiths, they offer a 24/7 service for your home, office, or vehicle. However, their edge over the others is that they can provide service not only in Bangkok but also to the rest of Thailand. 

And we think we know why.

Our team nicknamed this locksmith the “celebrity” among the shops we tried. This is because Key Yellow has been featured several times on Thai TV over the past years (mainly for Mr Yellow Locksmith’s extreme lock picking skills). 

These numerous TV features and the excellent feedback we got from their customers proved to us that they’re the real deal. They even have excellent branding and their own YouTube channel, where they upload videos of their work processes for everyone to see. 

Despite the celebrity status, we appreciate how Key Yellow still manages to have affordable pricing. Moreover, they still maintain their lovely little key shop on Lat Phrao Rd.

They also continue to improve on their craft. 

On the flip side, some customers told us they were not too impressed with Key Yellow’s service quality. So, we also advise you to manage your expectations for this locksmith.
