5 Skincare Shops in Thailand We’ve Been Gatekeeping (Until Now, That Is!)

  • Products - Firstly, we took a look at how varied their products were and if they featured reputable brands as well as local names.
  • Staff - Next, we checked if the staff members were knowledgeable about the store’s products and if they had that patented Thai friendliness.
  • Affordability - We also had to consider how affordable their products were.
  • Shop - Lastly, we checked if the shop itself was clean, spacious and easy to get to.

It’s a fact that many visit Thailand for one of three things: a tropical getaway, amazing food and cosmetics. There have been countless times when I overheard tourists looking for the best skincare shops in the country through their map app.

I’m not surprised though, as Thailand features a variety of skincare shops that offer amazing age-defying products, and no, it’s not juju!

If you want to change your skincare routine to give you that everlasting youthful look, you’ve come to the right place! We’ve curated a list containing Thailand’s best skincare shops and highlighted their respective pros and cons.

BEAUTRIUM is one of the most popular beauty chains in Thailand, boasting stores of different sizes across the country. With this, you can expect them to house a wide variety of products ranging from skincare to cosmetics, hair care and more.

Furthermore, they also feature well-known brands from various countries on their shelves. WE love how this gives more options for shoppers.

It’s also worth mentioning that they have their own private label line, which we thought was pretty cool.

This type of variety also benefits their affordability, as shoppers can freely choose to buy products that are within their price range. Plus, they hold multiple sales and promos throughout the year, allowing shoppers to score great deals on regular-priced items.

In our books, the only thing they could improve upon is their customer service. I’ve heard from friends that some of their staff members can come off as rude or unenthusiastic, so this can dampen the shopping experience.

Pros

  • Wide variety of products and brands
  • Holds several promos
  • Features multiple locations nationwide

Cons

  • Staff members could be friendlier
  • Pricey rates compared to other stores

Lots of cosmetic skin care products to choose from

“I Rate each section from {1} to {10}, as {1} is the worst and {10} is the best.

Let’s start

*Location and Shop size: {8}

It’s located inside Seacon Srinakarin shopping mall, It’s a big shop and has a lot of cosmetic skin care products to choose from as well perfumes, makeup etc.

*Staff and workers: {3}

Couldn’t get any good information about the products as they have big issues with English as well as knowledge about each product.

*Price and cost: {5}

Consider the high price for some imported products but it’s within the limit, I mean they have to make money somehow

In my experience, I can give them only 3 stars”

EVEANDBOY is perfect for those who love to shop for their products, as opposed to grabbing them online. It’s a massive store that carries just about every local and international brand, allowing them to cater to different types of needs and tastes.

Their variety is also evident, especially when considering various budgets, as they offer brands that are known for being cheap but high quality. On the other side of the spectrum, they have those that you’ll immediately relate with a hefty price tag.

Shopping there, it’s refreshing to have their staff who are knowledgeable, walking customers through these differences. The only problem is that they could sometimes be a bit too assertive when it comes to upselling, which could be bothersome for some shoppers.

We also love that they offer beauty services such as consultations and brow shaping. This, paired with the spectacle of its large trendy interior, is what we think makes it a worthy visit as opposed to just ordering your skincare products online.

Pros

  • Features a wide selection of skincare and beauty products
  • Carries both local and international brands
  • Large stores
  • Has multiple branches across Bangkok
  • Offers services like beauty consultations and brow shaping

Cons

  • Staff members can be a bit aggressive in sales talking

So many cosmetics in one store

“Before I came into this store I had no idea that there could be so many cosmetics in one store. Unlike in European stores here you’ll find so many brands and all kinds of creams, serums, masks and so on. It was almost hard to decide which one to take and try out first.

There’s a lot of staff ready to answer all the questions and help you choose the right item. Prices are moderate with quite a few things on offer. I wish I had this choice in my hometown.”

Paradise for cosmetics fanatics

“Paradise for the cosmetics fanatics. Lots of brands of cosmetics, skincare, etc.

There are also products suitable for females and males. And they carry local brands too.  So if you want to find Thailand’s local brands, this is the place to come.  It’s huge and probably takes you an hour to go through all the products.

It’s within Siam Square One Mall.”

Boots Pharmacy is a famous store in the UK that offers everything, from body and face care to food supplements and more. Luckily, they’ve decided to expand to Thailand, as skincare and cosmetics fanatics are treated to an amazing selection of products.

Aside from famous international brands, they also carry products that you’ll only see in this specific pharmacy, such as their in-house brand, No7. It’s one of those “if you know, you know” in the skincare world that people would immediately associate with this pharmacy.

Another thing that stood out to us the most was this store’s sense of legitimacy. We’ve been to countless beauty stores but there’s something about it being a pharmacy and being partnered with reputable brands that make them all the more trustworthy.

The only thing we wished this pharmacy would have is more local brands, as we felt like their focus is more on UK-based companies and international names.

Also, we felt that their staff members weren’t up to par with the friendliness that Thailand is known for. They do make up for it by being knowledgeable about their products!

Pros

  • Offers exclusive products
  • Partnered with authentic and reputable brands
  • Offers a wide array of skincare and beauty products

Cons

  • Staff members could be friendlier
  • Small shop
  • Limited selection of local brands

Found everything I needed

“Compact but well-stocked Boots with the usual items. Found everything I needed. Good prices.”

Easy to shop

“Although it’s small, it has all of Boots’ main products, and it’s easy to shop since it’s not too crowded. There is a polite pharmacist, but there are times when he is not available depending on the day.”

Tofu Skincare is the go-to spot for anyone looking to score cheap skincare and cosmetic products. It follows a wholesale approach as opposed to the common pharmacies and quaint and trendy stores, which allows it to feature more variety while maintaining low prices.

The only problem with a style like this is that it’s often crowded, both with vendors and customers. This isn’t the place where you can shop at your own pace but it can be a treasure trove if you want to buy products in bulk and bring them home as souvenirs.

So, you have to get here early, as the products will fly off the shelves as soon as the doors open! If you do get a chance to get first dibs, however, you’re guaranteed to get the cheapest prices in Thailand.

Lastly, shopping here is an experience in itself. You’ll be shoulder to shoulder with other shoppers and there will be a lingering feeling of thrill where you hope that the product you’re looking for isn’t snagged by anyone yet.

If you’re one to revel in this type of environment, then Tofu Skincare is a must-visit for you!

Pros

  • Plentiful choices
  • Cheap prices

Cons

  • Often crowded
  • Only has one location

Cheapest store in Bangkok

“Cheapest Skin Care Store in Bangkok 🇹🇭

When I was in Bangkok, I visited the skincare store ‘Tofu.’ In my opinion, this is the cheapest store in Bangkok, where you can buy not only skincare but also some medicines like Tiger Balm, muscle patches, and many more, including cute inhalers that are popular as souvenirs.

Even if you arrive at 9 a.m. when the store just opens, there are already many people, especially personal shoppers. You’ll need to be patient when waiting at the cashier.

Compared to Big C, if you want to buy medicine, I recommend buying it here, especially if you plan to buy a lot of items. It’s worth the wait at the cashier.”

Lilly Rose, Google Review

Truly a go-to

“So many variety of skincare at such an affordable price. First time here and was so intrigued and overwhelmed by the crowd and products. Truly a go-to especially if you’re crazy for skincare. This definitely rocks!”

LUSH is an international brand that sets itself apart from other skincare shops by carrying its own line of natural and handmade cosmetics. We were also impressed when we discovered they make their products in small batches, which ensures their freshness and quality.

Their commitment to ethical practices also piqued our interest, as they claim to avoid animal testing for their products. Furthermore, they’re committed to sustainability by having the majority of their products packed using recyclable materials to help reduce pollution.

We also love how the overall shopping experience here is enjoyable, which can be attributed to the friendly and knowledgeable staff members. These people do a great job of making customers feel safe and listened to during their skincare shopping sessions.

The only downside of shopping here is the absence of other brands since all they carry is their own line. With that being said, we were still impressed to see how varied their products were, ranging from fragrances to bath bombs, facial washes, body scrubs and more.

Pros

  • Wide variety of skincare and perfumes
  • Features exclusive items
  • Clean and aesthetically pleasing store

Cons

  • Pricey tags
  • Absence of other brands

5 STARS

“I’m giving the team at LUSH Siam Center 5 STARS as the customer service I received this evening was professional, warm and attentive.

The team members were lovely and happy to assist. The store atmosphere was so inviting and relaxed. This is LUSH first Perfume Library in South East Asia with unique scents to explore. Couldn’t recommend more!”

Gawisara Supunyachotsakul, Google Review

Generous and helpful

“Love the vibe!  Khun James of Lush’s perfume library is so generous and helpful in helping me with the exploration of the world of niche perfume. The brand has more than 50 scents !!!

Also thank Miss Eve, June, Geme and Ideal for making the short trip to Lush’s Siam centre store so fantastic.

I highly recommend this branch of Lush store to be included in an excursion,  as it has many exclusive items that you can only find here.”
