Best Time to Go

To make sure you get the best out of your trip to Phuket and Bangla Road, drop by between the months of November and April.

During these months, the weather is not too hot or too humid for you to take in the sights and sounds of Bangla Road in ease and comfort. Of course, it is also during this period when you can get to participate in other festivities such as New Year’s Eve.

In terms of the best daily hours to visit Bangla Road, there’s no doubt about it—the best time to visit Bangla Road is at night! Past 10:00 PM, the area comes alive with parties and nightlife activities for everyone to enjoy and experience.

How to Get Around

Bus: Patong, the area where Bangla Road is located, is well connected to Phuket Town through its well-established bus service system.

You can choose to take an airconditioned or open-air bus from Phuket Town and just ride the bus until you reach Patong. It will also only cost you around 8 to 15 THB for the fare depending on which kind of bus you decide to take.

Car: Renting a car is convenient as it will only take you around 30 to 40 minutes to get to your destination, but it’s relatively pricier at around 40 THB. However, doing this may also mean having to walk farther since parking slots in Bangla Road are quite limited.

Songthaew: Riding the Songthaew is relatively cheap, at 15 THB. But we wouldn’t recommend counting on this more traditional vehicle. Sonthaews do not have established routes and you’d have to constantly look around for one, which greatly affects its reliability if you ever need one.

Talk about direct access! Here, you can enjoy a hearty meal with other tourists and locals and go crazy shopping for various items such as electronics, gadgets, apparel, and even native handicrafts.

George Tailors

Patong is known across the country as the home of some of the most talented tailors in Thailand and George Tailors is living proof. If you want custom-fit suits and blazers made to perfection, you most definitely need to check this place out!

What made us fall in love with this shop, though, is their excellent commitment to customer satisfaction. Imagine keeping their customer’s measurements on file for up to five years in case a client decides to make a repeat order– simply amazing!

Shanghai Tailor Phuket

Are you rushing to get that quality suit for an urgent engagement? Worry not as Patong has Shanghai Tailor, a shop that crafts quality suits and clothes at affordable prices even upon short notice (around 2 days for some of their customers!).

What’s more, you’ll also appreciate how Shanghai Tailor ensures the good feel and fit of their customers’ suits. Plus, we liked that they offer free adjustments if you don’t feel like you got the ideal fit.

The Boss Tailor Central Patong

Custom-fit clothing shouldn’t take weeks or months in order for you to wear and enjoy them. Here at the Boss Tailor, you can get your very own handcrafted suit in as fast as 24 hours.

You’ll also appreciate their fantastic customer service in this shop! If you walk in as a customer, expect to be taken care of and your requests immediately attended to.

The Phuket Cannabis Club Patong

You know a shop values its customers if they give them the facility (a lobby to be more specific) to enjoy its product in comfort. The Phuket Cannabis Club allows customers to smoke in its lounge at their own pace and leisure.

If you’re into that green weed, this shop is definitely worth a visit. Make sure you also leave a Google review for them as they offer discounts to customers who review their shop!
