Pros
- Excellent location
- Specific courses for athletes and enthusiasts
- Competitive pricing
Cons
- Limited schedule or time slots for weekday customers
Fencing lessons aren’t just for beginners or serious hobbyists but also for serious athletes. This is the mantra of Mastery Fencing Club, which offers lessons that cover both athlete-level and beginner students.
In its location in Taweewattana, Bangkok, we liked their proximity to the city centre as they’re only a 17-minute drive! It’s definitely a plus for students who want to do lessons on a consistent basis.
We also think that their class offerings are varied enough to accommodate students of different ages and skill levels. It’s impressive that while they cater to athlete-level fencers, they also have courses for fun.
Another bonus is their additional service of a “free bout” where fencers can just try out different moves or just spar with another student. We believe this gives the Mastery Fencing Club some lesson flexibility that students can take advantage of.
At only 600 THB for a one-and-a-half-hour adult class, we think that their pricing is pretty competitive. To us, this rate may entice those who just want to try out fencing and see if it’s really for them.
On the downside, we think that Mastery Fencing Club could have offered more time slots during their weekday operations. A schedule of 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM may be too restrictive, especially for athletes training for a big competition.
For us, fencing aficionados should definitely check out Mastery Fencing Club. With competitive pricing and skill-specific courses, students will surely find their lessons to be value-adding!

Pros
- Fencing lessons designed for different age groups
- International presence through fencing competitions
Cons
- Limited weekday schedule
Those looking to compete with other fencers on the global stage should check out the lessons offered by Blade Fencing Bangkok. One look at their social media page and we’re certain you’ll also be impressed with their awards and accomplishments!
They are located in Khlong Toei, Bangkok which is just 27 minutes away from Bangkok’s city centre. We believe they are still reasonably accessible, but students may have to adjust their travel time during lessons in case of heavy traffic.
We also like that they teach fencing lessons based on the age group of participants. Specific lessons for children and adults are certainly a big plus since it gives students the appropriate skills they need to compete.
One of the most impressive additional services they provide, though, is how they prepare their students to compete on the world stage. It’s also a joy to see that they regularly post their student’s achievements on their social media page!
With their global competitiveness and accomplishments, we strongly believe that their students certainly got their money’s worth when they enrolled here!
On the other hand, one minor concern we observed is that weekday schedules can be quite limited. We think serious athletes may want to train even on a weekday, especially when preparing for global competitions.
For its global accomplishments and support for student growth, we believe prospective fencing students consider the services of Blade Fencing Bangkok. Who knows, they might be the next global fencing champion?

Pros
- Good variety of martial arts
- Offers online training
- Includes yoga and meditation courses
Cons
- Not very accessible to students
While not an exclusive fencing school, Muay Thai Sangha offers training courses in the handling of bladed weapons. In fact, what we liked most about them is that they offer opportunities to learn more about local culture through traditional bladed weapons!
However, to get to learn their traditional fighting arts, students will have to travel to Chiang Mai which is 729 kilometres away from Bangkok city centre. We think serious practitioners, though, will be willing to take that journey just to train with them.
We also found their methodology and approach quite appealing as they offer hand-to-hand combat training aside from traditional bladed weapons courses. To us, this can help students become much more well-rounded in the fighting arts.
What’s impressive about the courses they offer is that they also have meditation and yoga incorporated into their lessons. Again, this balance between physical and mental focus just gives students a more holistic approach.
In addition, distance from the school shouldn’t be an issue if students are willing to study lessons online. Such convenience is truly remarkable and we can’t help but applaud them for this virtual option!
Training fees are 8,000 THB per week and 20,000 THB per month which we think is pretty reasonable. We also believe that these are consumer-friendly rates since students can expect a variety of holistic lessons from them.
With all of these things considered, we’re confident that Muay Thai Sangha can offer students some of the best holistic martial arts courses they can avail. Those serious about martial arts will surely fall in love with their teaching methods!

Pros
- Very good location
- Variety of additional services
- Good methodology-based competition levels
Cons
- Enrolment can be pricey
NIST International School, as the name implies, is an educational institution that offers various sports activities which include sports like fencing. We think students with a passion for fencing will find their sports clubs here to their liking!
It’s a 23-minute drive from the city centre and we can see why it’s an ideal choice for most students and enthusiasts. Aside from proximity, it’s in a prime spot where businesses like hotels and restaurants are also located- a big plus in our books!
Their fencing program falls under the Falcon Sports program and is divided based on competition level. To us, it’s pretty impressive that they offer sports programs for non-competitive students all the way up to varsity-level competitors.
It goes without saying that additional services are offered here as it is an international school. These activities include a musical academy and experiential education which we think makes their approach a lot more holistic.
However, joining the fencing club here can be quite pricey as NIST International School’s registration fees are expensive. In short, those interested to participate should first enrol with the school before joining their sports clubs which can be limiting.
Overall, we’d still recommend the fencing lessons they offer. Aside from the impressive additional services, the different competition levels available are simply remarkable for students.

Pros
- Very cost-effective
- Good methodology with their one-on-one and group sessions
Cons
- Not very accessible for customers taking the train
Fencing students who are just starting out may want to try group lessons first. For this, we think they should check out Panya Fencing Club’s fencing courses.
Located 34 minutes away from Bangkok’s city centre by car, it’s reasonably accessible for most students. However, those planning to take the train to the site may have to allot around an hour and a half, which we think isn’t very enticing.
What we liked about Panya Fencing Club though, is that their services include one-on-one sessions and group fencing lessons. We think this is perfect, especially for beginners who are still trying to get a feel of the sport.
In terms of additional services, we were also impressed with the competitions the club participates in. We believe this shows their dedication to continuous improvement and sportsmanship- both crucial for the growth of their students.
Another appealing aspect is their affordable training cost which is only 1,250 THB per student. We think this is a great way to entice new students to try out fencing!
We can’t recommend Panya Fencing Club enough, especially for beginners. Their rates and their group sessions will surely ease new students into the sport.
