DBS Studio was such a cool experience for us. They’ve got all the bases covered—professional post-production, mastering, recording, and even outdoor sessions.

Their isolated room was definitely our favorite part; it’s a dream for drummers or anyone who wants that extra privacy.

Plus, they’ve got three distinct studios, all of which you can conveniently preview and pick on their website before booking. We also noted their state-of-the-art equipment, such as DAWs like Pro Tools, Cubase, and Nuendo.

Their professional yet friendly staff are another highlight—most clients highlighted how helpful they are throughout their recording session!

Oh, and we discovered that they offer video production and broadcasting services. So, if you need it, you’d better call them!

Now, as much as we liked DBS, it’s not all perfect. Yes, the recording rooms are spacious, but there’s not enough seating, which we found weird. We also had a hard time at their small and narrow parking lot.

Pros

  • Fully equipped recording studio
  • Isolated rooms available
  • Three spacious studios
  • Excellent equipment
  • Professional and friendly staff
  • Offers video production and broadcasting services

Cons

  • Limited seating
  • Small and narrow parking lot

State-of-the-art equipment and acoustics

“If a recording studio can be a second home for a musician, DBS is it. It’s a spacious, inviting place that helps bring out the best in your work. It practically invites creativity. The studio spaces are tailor-made for discreet solo recordings or full-blown rock bands. The sound-proofing is perfect. The acoustics are just right.

And DBS’s recording equipment is first-rate.  State-of-the-art. Nothing disappoints. But what makes the place so darn great is the staff. Tan and support crew bend over backwards to make your experience, well, a recording artist’s dream.

So you want my advice?  When in BKK to record your latest, DBS is the one.”

Friendly and helpful staff

“Absolutely Phenomenal studio. Great space and better location. They are very nice and helpful here. Definitely recommended.”

Dynamic Record Studio has been around since 2002, which gives them that “they know what they’re doing” kind of credibility. If you’re working on song demos, full-blown albums, voiceovers, or even dubbing, this is where you want to be.

Their team is solid—clearly knows their stuff—and the equipment is great, with monitoring systems and a range of impressive gear like microphones, amps, guitars, and drum sets.

The studio spaces are treated for perfect acoustics, so whether we were in the Live Room or the Vocal Booth, everything sounded clean and polished.

The lounge area is a bonus with big sofas, Wi-Fi, and a tea and coffee station. Plus, there’s even a small store next to the studio, which is handy.

But here’s the catch—because it’s a single studio, sessions are strictly by appointment. Also, parking is tight, but street parking can work as a fallback.

Pros

  • Long-standing reputation
  • Professional-grade equipment
  • Acoustically treated spaces
  • Relaxing lounge
  • Skilled and experienced engineers

Cons

  • By appointment only
  • Limited parking space

Accommodating engineer and great price-to-quality ratio

“Booked a session with my family at Dynamic Recording Studio and it was amazing! Engineer took his time and knew how to work with me even through the diff in languages. And not to mention the price is great for the quality of the studio build, equipment, and engineer”

– Dyllyn Greer, Google Review

Comfortable studio and excellent gear

“Loved this place. Spent 6 days recording here. Joe is a friendly and talented engineer, and helps create a seamless and enjoyable recording experience. The studio itself has really great gear, and the space feels really nice to work in. Would 10/10 recommend and  work here again!”

– Ryan Smith, Google Review

Studio28 is one of the best (and biggest) recording studios we’ve had the chance to visit in Bangkok.

Opened back in 2014, their setup feels like it’s designed to cover everything—whether you’re booking Studio A for an orchestra, filming a music video, or even hosting a live concert, it’s loaded with solid gear like the SSL Duality Delta and three isolation rooms.

Studio B, though, has a completely different vibe. It’s more compact and tailored for smaller projects like voiceovers, ADR, surround sound mixing, or straight-up editing.

The private location is such a nice touch—it’s calm and peaceful while still being super close to the city, so it doesn’t feel cut off.

You’ll also appreciate their relaxing lounge areas that include pool tables and TVs. We also love how you’re free to bring your food since there’s a fridge and microwave ready to use.

But heads-up: Since Studio A can get super busy, parking can get tight during those times. Booking a spot also requires planning well ahead—no last-minute appointments here.

Pros

  • Versatile spaces
  • High-end equipment
  • Private, peaceful location
  • Spacious lounge

Cons

  • Can get crowded
  • Requires booking
  • Operating hours not indicated

Exceptional quality and expertise

“Amazing facilty, top notch team, great sound. I highly recommend this studio”

Iconic studio with state-of-the-art equipment

Established back in 1994, Katana Sound Studio is not just another recording studio—they’re literally the first in Asia certified by Dolby Laboratories Inc. We all agreed that it kind of sets the tone for how legit they are.

The sheer scale of what they offer honestly blew us away. We’re talking six theatrical mixing stages that support Dolby Atmos, DTS-X, and AURO-3D, plus multiple dedicated spaces for VR sound design, Foley, ADR, and pre-mixing.

The fact that they specialize in mastering for both vinyl and digital affs that extra “wow” factor, especially since their Dolby-certified mixing stages are next-level for music blending.

If you’re a detail freak like us, you’ll appreciate how smooth everything sounds in the end. We’ve heard from other clients as well that their Atmos music mixing pretty much sets a new standard!

Everything would have been perfect if they were quicker to respond to inquiries.

Pros

  • Certified by Dolby Laboratories Inc.
  • Six theatrical mixing stages
  • High-quality systems
  • Skilled and experienced staff

Cons

  • Slow response

Friendly staff

“Very friendly & hardworking staff ….”

So, here’s the deal with GECCO Studio Complex—it’s been around since 1993, so you can already tell they’re not just some fly-by-night operation. The place is legit, and we’ve learned that they’re not only about recording tracks for musicians.

They’ve got this crazy range of services that include dubbing, voice-overs, sound design for films, and even big-time productions like animation and documentaries. When we were there, the vibe felt professional but still had this approachable energy.

One thing that stood out to us was their dubbing services. They handle tons of language, complete with perfect lip-syncing.

That probably explains why major studios like Disney, Netflix, and DreamWorks trust them. If you’re a musician, their equipment is next level—you’ve got everything you’d need to produce tracks with world-class quality.

The only snag is that getting an appointment can be a bit of a headache, and we noticed that they prioritize dubbing gigs over other projects.

Pros

  • Cutting-edge audio recording and production technology
  • Highly skilled and knowledgeable crew
  • Easy to reach
  • Professional yet welcoming studio vibe
  • Wide range of services

Cons

  • Challenging appointment process
