Chalita Cafe & Restaurant is a humble food place with a rustic interior, rattan furniture, jazz music, and soft lighting. It’s the perfect spot if you want a relaxed and homely dining experience.

Their menu consists of Thai and Western cuisines, so you get a variety of options to choose from. This includes local specialties like tom yum, tom kha gai, pad Thai, massaman curry, panang curry, and Western staples like pizza and burgers.

Our top pick is their panang curry. We like that they use homemade panang curry paste for this dish, so expect a more authentic spicy, sweet, and rich flavor.

Also, they can make this dish with vegetables, chicken, pork, or shrimp—great if you want variety.

Pro Tip:

For the best experience, we suggest avoiding their peak hours (6 p.m. – 7 p.m.) because the service can be slow and inconsistent during this time.

We’re particularly fond of their Mediterranean-style chicken fajita which was on the milder side. Finish your meal with their authentic Turkish baklava for an exquisite experience.

The restaurant can be hot during lunchtime due to lack of air conditioning, so you might want to come here for dinner instead.

Bistro Monaco is one of the best restaurants in Krabi for European food fanatics. It’s particularly known for its excellent and reasonably priced German dishes which come in large portions.

Overall, this is the ideal spot for tourists who want to skip the local specialties for a change.

Our absolute favorite is their melt-in-your-mouth wiener schnitzel! Expect this Viennese dish to come with a side of crispy potato fries and fresh tomato salad which are its typical pairing.

Aside from that, they also serve excellent Italian pasta, pizza, and lasagna that we think everyone should try.

Avoid the dinner rush since the service is usually slow when the restaurant is packed. Also, be sure to bring plenty of cash because Bistro Monaco doesn’t accept card payments.

This restaurant is tucked away in a quiet tree-lined neighborhood, so it’s one of the best options if you want a more relaxed and private setting. We absolutely adore its dome-shaped roof and fish-shaped hanging lights made with rattan.

Foodwise, all their dishes are excellent, but one thing you shouldn’t miss is their signature nam prik kung siap which is a local specialty of Krabi Province.

Don’t forget to make a reservation before going to the restaurant. Also, we recommend bringing an insect repellent since the restaurant has mosquitoes, especially during the afternoon.

Most of the food they serve here is very spicy, so be sure to tell the waiter how much spice you can handle. Go for the medium level if you’re good with spicy food since what they serve is usually hotter than most tourists expect.

The meat-loving foodies on our team say this is the best restaurant in Krabi for steak and other Western-style dishes. Diver’s Inn Steak House  uses imported grain-fed Australian Black Angus beef, so expect a juicy, buttery, and tender steak when you dine here.

We also like that all their steak dishes come with a salad buffet and your choice of side dish. Your options for the side dish are French fries, mashed potatoes, potato wedges, rice, noodles, and baked potato with bacon and sour cream.

They also serve numerous pork, chicken, duck, seafood, and Thai dishes, so there are plenty of food options for everyone. We were impressed by their traditional pork schnitzel and the nice selection of Belgian beers!

For fans of Italian cuisine, the Viva Restaurant in Krabi is a must-visit. This cozy restaurant is well-known for its great selection of Italian dishes, from pasta to pizza, ravioli, lasagna, bruschetta, tiramisu, and more.

The best thing about Viva Restaurant is they import Italian ingredients and make their pasta and bread in-house, so everything is as authentic as can be expected. The downside is the slightly high prices, but we think it’s definitely worth it.

My Italian friend swears by their calzone and tiramisu, so it’s certainly a great pick for any uninitiated tourist. They also import a wide range of Italian wines, so you have a lot of pairing options for your meal.

Moreover, this restaurant doesn’t mess around when it comes to its Thai food offerings. It specializes in seafood, so expect numerous lobster, crab, fish, squid, and scallop dishes.

The grilled squid is our favorite! It was well-cooked and served with an excellent dipping sauce. Aside from that, we also recommend their seafood platter if you want full-on variety, from grilled fish, mussels, prawns, squid noodles, and more.
