Their massive menu features a wide range of popular food from Madrid, from open sandwiches to Spanish clay bowls, rice dishes, traditional desserts, and more. We are particularly fond of their special raciones or sharing plates.
These include Spanish ragu, croquette, beef cachopo, anchovies vinegar, etc. Sharing is a big part of Spain’s culinary tradition so enjoying their raciones with your family or friends is one of the more authentic Spanish experiences you can get out of Bangkok.

The fine selection of imported Spanish wines and draft beers their bar offers is also a plus. Food-wise, El Mercado is most popular for its excellent cheese platters, cold cuts, and fresh Fine de Claire oysters.

Barcelona Gaudi Restaurant serves one of the best paellas among the Spanish restaurants in Bangkok. Their paellas are authentic, so expect them to rival the best traditional paellas served by restaurants in Spain, at least in taste.
Just don’t expect a soccarat since they make paellas with risotto-like consistency. In case you didn’t know, soccarat is the crunchy layer of scorched rice underneath a traditional paella which many fans of Spanish cuisine consider the best part of the dish.
Our top picks are their paella valenciana, paella negra, paella marisco, and paella picante. But if you’re not particularly into paella, the foodies on our team also swear by their excellent cured hams, croquettes, Spanish omelets, and desserts.

El Chiringuito is on a narrow street with no dedicated parking spot, so it’s not ideal for people driving a car. With a scooter, you can only park on the side of the street so your options are still limited.
