Pros
- Pools, garden, fitness center
- Wheelchair access, facilities for the disabled
- Babysitting services
- Laundry and dry cleaning
Cons
- Uncomfortable bathroom design
- Non-smoking
Somerset Maison Asoke Bangkok is an apartment in the district of Sukhumvit in Bangkok. It’s 0.6km from the Asoke BTS metro station, putting it right in the business district of the city.
It’s just a short walk away from Terminal 21 Shopping Mall and Soi Cowboy Street. Some reviews from our surveys, however, have stated that the location made it a little difficult to get around, which we don’t love.
The place has a rooftop pool, heated swimming pool, sun terrace, garden area, and fitness center. We like that it’s fully equipped with recreational facilities so their residents and guests can stay active.
The rooms are also fitted with air-conditioning, ironing facilities, cookware, utensils, and roll-away beds. There’s also a washing machine in the bathroom, a flat screen TV and an in-room computer.
While we like that it seems to have all the necessities, we don’t like that the bathroom design is a little awkward. The shower and tub are connected and small, making it pretty hard not to get water everywhere.
One thing we do like is the services they provide for accessibility. This includes rooms and facilities for the disabled, wheelchair access, and babysitting services.
They also have luggage storage, room service, laundry, and dry cleaning. This gives us the impression that staying at Somerset Maison Asoke Bangkok would be a comfortable experience.
We should note that they are a non-smoking facility, so if you want to be able to smoke in your apartment, this isn’t the place for you. We recommend checking out the other options on this list.

Pros
- In-house movie theater, golf simulator, steam and sauna room, garden, swimming pool, fitness center
- Pre- and post- check-in shower services
- Discounts for luxury villas
Cons
- Old furniture
Bangkok Shortstay offers fully furnished semi-serviced apartments for both short-stay and long-stay guests.
The apartments are quite spacious, being 250sqm in size with a large living area, dining area, and kitchen. We like that the kitchen comes fully equipped with a kitchenette, a microwave, cookware, and utensils.
What we don’t like is the fact that their furniture is a little old, and it shows. Our surveys have shown that some of the guests found them uncomfortable to use.
Long-stay guests have access to free WiFi, free True Vision Cable TV, and an in-room safe. They are also offered special half-off discounts for Aqua Marine – Koh Samui and Gliding Villa – Khao Yai, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
We find the discounts to be pretty good, because 50% is no joke for a luxury villa in a scenic location. If you stay at Bangkok Shortstay, we definitely recommend availing of these offers.
It’s 2000 baht to rent a 2-bedroom apartment and 3000 baht for a 3-bedroom apartment. We quite like these prices for those looking for something budget-friendly.
You can also avail of pre- or post-checkout access to shower facilities should you need it. We find this to be a rare offer that could really help guests who are arriving before their designated check-in time.
The place has an in-house movie theater with nightly shows, a golf simulator, and a steam and sauna room. There’s also a garden, a swimming pool, and a fitness center.
We quite like the range of recreational activities available to their guests. We think this means there’ll always be something to do.
They also offer access to a complimentary daily shuttle from the property to the shopping center, supermarket, and Bangkok Mass Transit (BTS), which can make your stay a lot easier.
3. Sanctuary House Bangkok

Pros
- Quiet location that’s near the city center
- Rooftop garden
- Good monthly value
Cons
- No fitness center or recreational facilities
- Non-smoking rooms
Sanctuary House Bangkok is conveniently located near Silom and is a few minutes’ walk from Bangkok’s MRT line, Lumpini Station.
It’s also quite close to Lumpini Park, a beautiful open public space for nature-lovers. It’s a great place to unwind and get away from the rest of the city.
The great thing about its location is it’s in a calm, quiet neighborhood that still isn’t too far from the busier areas of Bangkok. Should you need to go to any of those places, it won’t be difficult.
Each room has a kitchen, air-conditioning, wireless internet, a safe, and a washing machine. It doesn’t have as many amenities as other apartments on this list, but it’s got all the necessities covered.
Their rooms are non-smoking rooms, so if you’re a smoker you might want to look elsewhere. Those who’d rather not have the smell around will feel better about it though.
The property also features a rooftop garden for when you want a quiet moment with a good view.
Again, we should note that they do not offer as many recreational facilities as others on this list. If that’s important to your lifestyle, you might want to check out the other apartments.
The studio apartment costs around 14000 to 22000 baht per month, which is pretty good value. You can also contact them for daily rates.

Pros
- Good location
- Gym, pool, steam and sauna, garden, kids’ playground
- Restaurants and bar
Cons
- Small, crowded pool
- No washrooms or lockers at pool
Fraser Suites offers long stay serviced apartments in Bangkok. It’s set in a calmer area of Sukhumvit.
We like that although it’s in a quieter area, it’s still in the heart of the city. You can get the benefit of a peaceful stay while still being close to the action.
They offer multiple room types which include studio rooms, and 1, 2, and 3-bedroom units. The bigger units also feature a balcony, which we always like in an apartment.
Their facilities include a fully equipped gym, a swimming pool, steam and sauna, a landscaped garden, and kids’ playroom. We like that there’s a range of recreational activities nearby.
However, we should note that the pool is quite small for such a big place. We don’t like that this might mean your pool visit could be a little crowded.
The pools also don’t have washrooms or lockers around, so you might have to make an inconvenient trip to your room. You also might not want to bring any valuables around.
They have a few restaurants, including a rooftop Japanese fusion bar and an Indian restaurant. We like that this means there’ll always be access to food and drinks nearby.
5. Siamese Exclusive Queens

Pros
- library, garden, fitness center, swimming pool, and sauna
- Close to subway
Cons
- Housekeeping staff aren’t around 24/7
- No basic amenities nearby
Siamese Exclusive Queens is a 33-floor condominium project on So Phai Sing To. It has 1, 2, and 3-bedroom units for sale.
Its 1-bedroom condo starts at 7,550,000 baht. The 2-bedroom starts at 15,800,000 baht and the 3-bedroom starts at 34,700,000 baht.
Their facilities include a library, garden, fitness center, swimming pool, and sauna. We like that this means if you don’t feel like going out, there’s still a range of recreational activities nearby.
There’s also a restaurant and bar in the building, so there’s also always a good place to eat or drink nearby. We should note, though, that the prices are on the expensive side.
The location could be a little better in our opinion. There are not a lot of basic amenities around and the roads around the area are quite rough.
However, it’s close to BTS Asok, MRT Queen Sirikit NCC, and an expressway to Rama Toll 4 Way. It’ll be easy to reach more convenient places, so there’s that.
We should also note that the housekeeping staff are only around at certain times throughout the day. This means that any issues you may face at night won’t be as easily remedied.
The rooms are non-smoking rooms, so smokers would have to go outside. If the smell bothers you, though, you might like this place.

Pros
- Oversized premium apartments
- View of Benjakitti Lake and Bangkok’s skyline
- Located in the heart of Sukhumvit district
- Parking available
Cons
- Rude staff
If you’re looking for oversized apartments with a spectacular view of Benjakitti Lake and Bangkok’s skyline, we think Lakeview Residences is an excellent option.
It has 58 premium apartments located in the heart of Bangkok’s famous Sukhumvit district.
The facilities they have include Swimming Pool, Tennis Court, Gym, Playground, Undercover Car Park, and Golf Cart Shuttle Service, which we think is amazing.
The place also has recycling, on site composting, and solar power coming in the near future.
We think it’s a beautiful community with close-knit neighbors of many families with kids and pets.
What we like is the sustainability incorporated in the community. They have cross ventilation, passive solar design, great waste management, and is fossil fuel free as well.
Their price of their 2 bedroom apartments start from 40,000 THB/month, while their 4 Bedroom Half Floor Apartments range from 100,000 THB/month to 150,000 THB/month.
Security-wise, we think it’s good too with its gated entrance and round the clock security presence.
There’s also parking available for each apartment so that’s not something to worry about.
We find the transport options great since it’s only 10-minute walk away from Asok Skywalk.
For the most part these apartments are great, but what we have to complain about is their staff. We think they can be more service-minded and not rude.
Overall, we recommend!
