Pros
- Operating for more than 30 years
- Spacious restaurant
- Great venue for events
- Serves a wide range of Chinese dishes
- Serves delectable cuisine
Cons
- Expensive menu rates
- Inconsistent quality of service
Wah Lok Cantonese Restaurant has been operating for more than 30 years now. It offers delicious Chinese food served in a welcoming environment.
It has been a top restaurant in Singapore for over three decades and a multi-award winner, delivering authentic Cantonese food to Bangkok.
We like that seafood, dim sum, noodles, and vegetarian dishes are on the menu, which is quite usual for a Chinese restaurant. In addition, the food was fresh, as expected, and we weren’t disappointed with the flavors.
There are a lot of choices on the restaurant’s menu, which we appreciate since some Chinese restaurants only offer famous Chinese courses such as wok dishes.
It is noteworthy that you may check its menu online to have further selections before visiting the restaurant. In addition, we appreciate that it is written in Thai, Chinese, and English so that both locals and tourists can clearly understand it.
We also like the spacious location, which features a sizable space for special events. We think it’s perfect for gatherings with friends, family, or work.
Another aspect we admire about the restaurant is its tables are neatly arranged, with each table in the communal area having its own private space.
Although the pricing is on the mid-higher end, we believe it is fair, given the quality of the food. So, if you’re craving Chinese cuisine but don’t have the budget, we recommend going to local sushi bars instead.
On the bright side, the crew is helpful and courteous, offers good service, and consistently meets our needs. However, it took a while for them to serve us our order, which we found inconvenient.
We also learned that some previous customers had experienced subpar service, particularly in attending to their needs and delivering their food.
Nevertheless, we still believe that Wah Lok is a great option for Chinese food due to its extensive menu options and high-caliber food.

Pros
- Offers a variety of menus
- Serving Chinese foods for more than 30 years
- Award-winning restaurant
- Offers private dining
- Spacious restaurant that can hold large gatherings
- Establishment gives off a Chinese vibe
Cons
- Exhibits poor customer service
- Expensive menu rates
- Has limited business hours
Lin-Fa has been serving Chinese meals for more than three decades with the backdrop of stunning Middle Kingdom artifacts and relics.
We found it noteworthy that Lin-Fa has received several honors throughout the years. These awards include the Thailand Tatler’s Best Restaurant Award in 2020 and the Travelers’ Choice Award from Tripadvisor in the same year.
It also provides distinctive spaces ideal for every kind of occasion. In addition, Lin-Fa also offers private dining suites for family or business engagements.
The menu consists of authentic but vintage Chinese cuisine. You can choose from its various menu items such as A-la-carte Dim Sum Menu, Dim Sum Special Menu, All-you-can-eat Dim Sum Menu, A-la-carte Menu, and Lin-Fa Set Menus.
Although, what we like most about the restaurant is its Dim Sum Lunch Buffet. You can choose from a wide range of dim sum favorites, prepared fresh and brought to your table.
This option is available during Friday to Sunday lunch for 1154 THB per person. However, since these times can get busy, we encourage you to book beforehand to reserve your table.
We also like that Lin-Fa has a takeaway & delivery feature where you can enjoy all your Dim Sum and Chinese favorites from the comfort of your home.
On the downside, the customer service is something we did not enjoy, negatively affecting our total satisfaction. The staff was unfriendly and gave new customers minimal attention.
Another drawback is its price. We struggled a little with budgeting because everything was pretty expensive.
Lastly, we find it frustrating that the restaurant is not open every day and has limited business hours only, even for deliveries.

Pros
- Serves quality Chinese cuisine
- Exhibits classical Chinese interior design
- Private rooms are available
- Offers promotions and reasonable rates
- Open daily
Cons
- Prices vary depending on the schedule
- Inconsistent way of serving the customers
- Booking issues
- Slow food service
Nothing is more reassuring than enjoying a decent dinner well worth the cost. Pagoda serves delicious, authentic Chinese cuisine and delectable flavors from premium ingredients.
It is a spot where comfort and food go hand in hand. It lets you enjoy China’s best tastes in a warm and welcoming ambiance setting with a touch of classical Chinese interior design.
We also like that the restaurant offers promotions. Our favorite is The Weekday Lunch Set, where you can enjoy freshly-made dim sum, signature rice or noodles, Cantonese-style soup, and the chef’s choice of dessert for a reduced price.
Additionally, during off-peak periods, the restaurant offers six guests 50% off! However, this promotion cannot be combined with other deals or discounts.
You can reserve a private room if you want some privacy or don’t want to hang around with other customers. We appreciate that Pagoda features seven impressive private dining rooms suitable for business dinners and social soirees.
Another thing we like is the attentiveness and friendliness of the staff. However, we noticed that the crew’s workload causes them to become less focused, leading to some confusion on some orders.
Since the restaurant becomes busy and you don’t want to wait if you’re hungry, we advise making reservations in advance rather than walking in.
However, when we tried to contact the restaurant for bookings, it seemed like the customer service was busy, and we had to wait a while for them to respond.
Plus, the serving of food also takes a while. Some previous guests said they had to wait up to 30 minutes before the staff served them their food.
On the bright side, we love that Pagoda is open daily. This schedule makes it convenient for us, especially those who suddenly crave Chinese food.

Pros
- Offers a wide range of menu
- Offers fair price
- Provides generous serving
- Has several branches across Thailand
- Provides catering menu
Cons
- Inconsistent service quality
Hua Seng Hong is a Chinese-Thai restaurant set to provide a top-notch dining experience in a lively, fashionable, and traditional setting.
The restaurant serves a variety of Cantonese and Thai cuisine, featuring 200 selections of dishes such as seafood, hot pot, meat, noodles, and dim sum.
You won’t have to worry about not being able to locate anything you like with a vast menu. The stir-fries, the Peking duck, and the selection of dumplings are a few of the menu items that stand out.
Moreover, we like that the lunch dishes are excellent and come with a generous serving (sometimes served in a bigger portion) and a fair price.
Hua Seng Hong has several branches across Thailand, which is great since people who want to try out its food won’t have to go to Bangkok just to eat.
Another fantastic feature of Hua Seng Hong that we like is its catering menu. This service allows you to order outdoor table and buffet sets and even franchise a food stall.
The service is excellent; we particularly enjoyed the crew’s accommodation and how they assisted us with our needs and orders.
However, several previous clients claimed they had poor treatment, especially about how long it took to get their food.

- Offers a good variety of cocktails
- Has reasonably priced dishes
Cons

Nan Bei offers a genuine Chinese eating experience in a creative art deco setting. The menu features delicacies created from premium ingredients that deliver authentic Chinese cuisine.
Nan Bei is a must-try if you’re looking for the best Chinese restaurant in Bangkok. Its exquisite Wok dishes, dim sum & dumplings, and Chinese noodles will satisfy your cravings.
The best part is you can enjoy the food without worrying about the budget since the menu here is reasonably priced.
Our attention was drawn primarily to Chef Matthew Geng’s Signatures, which range from abalone dishes, and New Zealand lamb to his unique tofu recipes. Notably, Executive Chinese Chef, Matthew Gen, has over 27 years of experience working in five-star institutions throughout China.
Additionally, the restaurant has a dress code that is smart casual, so make sure to dress appropriately when going for a dine-in.
Another aspect we enjoy is the restaurant’s cocktail menu because it has a large selection of wine and beer that goes well with eating Chinese cuisine.
We also appreciate that the service was excellent, and the staff gave us accommodated our requests.
However, we heard that in previous cases the service wasn’t ideal. For example, several customers complained about how long it took them to get their food.
