Great indoor playgrounds have attractions and activities that catch children’s attention and keep them interested until it’s time to go home.

Rules and Safety

Because we love our kids dearly and won’t even let a fly touch them, our child’s safety is the top priority. We greatly appreciate a playground that takes safety seriously.

We’re looking at the best indoor playgrounds in Bangkok, so we made sure that our top picks are easily accessible.

Pros

  • Great for playing dress up
  • A wide variety of toys and equipment
  • Fair pricing for entrance and food
  • Offers all-day play

Cons

  • Maybe a bit small for others
  • Unspecified cleaning schedule

Another indoor playground located in Gateway Ekamai is Kidzoona. It’s one branch of the Japanese company’s over 20 in 10 countries, so it’s not surprising that the facilities here are well-maintained and in excellent condition, true to the Japanese standard.

It’s a little bit small for our liking, but we bet that for little kids, it doesn’t matter—it’s complete and has most, if not all, that a kid would want to play in

We liked Kidzoona because of its incredible selection of children’s toys from different parts of the world.

There are also many activities to do: kids could play dress up or spend all their energy in physical activities like jumping over the trampolines, the bounce house, and even zip line.

The premises looked clean during our visit—a common trend in most Japanese-themed or Japanese-operated businesses.

However, we’re not quite sure how often and deep they clean the play areas: we hope it’s enough to ensure that its kid customers will not get sick.

The staff here are also attentive in watching over your children. The waiting area also has a “food zone” that serves snacks at reasonable prices for parents.

A typical play day in Kidzoona lasts about two hours and costs THB 290. If your kid has that much energy, it also offers an all-day unlimited playtime for THB 360.

Next, the entrance fee for accompanying adults is THB 100 for two hours, while a whole day goes for THB 120. We’re also glad that they have promos once in a while.

Pros

  • Fair pricing
  • Comprehensive entrance categories
  • Large and well-maintained
  • Complementary lockers
  • Restrooms inside the premises

Cons

  • Play areas cleaned only twice a day
  • High, elevated play areas

HarborLand is an indoor playground at Gateway Ekamai. It looks like a typical indoor playground, but we’re glad the equipment here looks excellent and well-maintained.

This indoor playground is large and has high, elevated play areas. So, just be sure not to fret if there are times that you might miss seeing your kid in the sea of children here.

Speaking of watching over our kids—if you have other errands to do inside Gateway Ekamai, you can leave your children in the good hands of HarborLand’s staff. This service costs an additional fee of THB 450 for Thais or THB 690 for farangs.

A complimentary locker for your belongings and restrooms are also inside the facility. HarborLand says it cleans its playgrounds twice a day, but we hope they could do it more frequently, especially now that health and hygiene are globally important.

The standard price for 2 1/2 hours of playtime is THB 470, while for accompanying parents, it’s THB 170. Entrance is free for senior citizens and babies younger than six months.

There’s also a specific category for toddlers below the height of 80 cm (2.6 ft), for which they charge THB 130. We really like this pricing scheme because, so far, only HarborLand is this comprehensive of all the indoor playgrounds we’ve seen for this list.

Pros

  • Overall great indoor playground
  • Cleaned every 20 minutes
  • Active and Montessori play
  • Great pricing

Cons

  • A bit small
  • Far from central Bangkok

Babble Space Kids Cafe is a small indoor playground at the K SPACE mini-mall in the Prawet district. It’s a bit far from central Bangkok with a minimum time travel of two hours, but for families living near the area, it’s a great escape for you and your children.

Babble Space has 150 square meters (1,600 square feet) of indoor play space, with two giant trampolines carrying as much as 60 kilograms each. There are also slides, a ball pit, and a kid-friendly climbing space for more physical play activity.

We’re glad to have verified with our respondents that Babble Space staff clean the area every 20 minutes, so you can rest assured that you and your children are in a hygienic environment.

If you have a toddler, we think you’d like its collection of Montessori toys (which focus on hands-on, self-discovery play), toys for playing house, and a mini piano. However, take note that Babble Space is only suitable for kids until six years of age.

Since this is quite a small facility, the waiting area (which hosts the cafe) is also a bit tiny. So if you’d like to hold a birthday party here, there is certainly a limit to the number of guests you could invite.

With all of these given, we’re glad to know that Babble Space charges only THB 300 for a 2-hour playtime session (this can also go lower depending on promos).

Accompanying adults pay THB 80, while children below 12 months are charged THB 100.

Pros

  • For trampoline lovers
  • Great for older kids and teens
  • Follows international safety standards
  • Fair pricing

Cons

  • Huge risk of falls other impact injuries
  • Limited staff supervision over players
  • Outside food not allowed
  • Need to use only BOUNCE-brand socks

This entry might be best suited to those young at heart. BOUNCE Thailand at the EmQuartier mall is a huge trampoline park.

Since doing the trampoline is inherently a dangerous type of play, it’s not surprising to know that although kids three years old or older are permitted to enter the facility. The actual frequenters here are teenagers up to 18 years of age.

But don’t fret, younger kids with a height starting at 110 centimeters or 3.8 feet can still experience BOUNCE Thailand. They can enter via the Junior Jumper ticket or attend Junior Jumper parties here.

What we like the best about BOUNCE Thailand are its safety policies. BOUNCE prides itself on following and passing international standards for trampoline safety.

However, other things might change your mind about going to bounce Thailand.

First is the requirement to use only BOUNCE-brand grip socks. Many of our respondents noted that if you have your grip socks from other places, you won’t still be allowed to use them here.

Also, it’s a bit of a bummer that bringing outside food is not allowed.

Lastly, although the safety policies look good on paper, we’re not quite sure how strict these policies are enforced. For example, we’ve heard reports on the lack of staff supervising the number and activity of the people on the trampolines.

The standard entrance fee here is THB 390 for a one-hour trampoline session (But there are also different types of tickets and trampoline activities available). If you’d want to play longer, you’d need to pay THB 250 for every additional hour.

We couldn’t compare this pricing to other indoor playgrounds in Bangkok catered explicitly to toddlers and younger children. However, in our opinion, this pricing is still fair enough, given the expected level of maintenance for this type of indoor playground.

5. Playmondo Central World

Pros

  • Located inside a mall
  • Has four indoor play areas for variety
  • Good for kids until 13 years old
  • High-quality play equipment
  • Lockers and wrist tag payment system

Cons

  • No comfort rooms in premises
  • Costly pricing
  • Inconsistent height measuring process

Playmondo in Central World is one indoor playground in one of Bangkok’s biggest malls. It has four “play zones”: the desert, forest, ocean, and volcano areas, which are great for playtime for kids up until 13 years of age.

We like Playmondo because of its high-quality equipment. There is also an indoor cafe where parents can buy refreshments for themselves and their children.

A locker is also provided upon entrance, and we love that Playmondo uses a wrist tag system where purchased items are recorded or charged to one’s account by scanning the said wrist tag. Customers will just make actual payments at the end of the stay.

One thing that we’re a bit disappointed about this Playmondo branch is that it lacks comfort rooms.

Customers needing relief would need to go out of the Playmondo premises and into Central World itself just to get to a comfort room. It’s a hassle not just for adults but especially kids prone to “incidents,” to say the least.

Reports about inconsistencies in measuring children’s heights before entering the premises have also reached us. Although we think these are isolated incidents, we hope Playmondo has already streamlined its entrance procedures.

Lastly, we’re a bit surprised with Playmondo’s pricing—it’s definitely one of the most expensive entrance fees we’ve seen.

Although already for three hours, the entrance fee of THB 660 for kids taller than 75 cm (2.46 ft) and THB 260 for parents makes a big dent in anyone’s wallet.

Pros

  • Family space and indoor playground
  • Warm, cozy space
  • Various facilities
  • Minimalist look
  • Open daily
  • Schedule of events available

Cons

  • Some complaints about poor customer service

Playville is a family space and indoor playground that provides a warm, cozy space for families with young children.

Their various facilities are made for kids aged 6 months to 6 years old.

Some of the activities they have here are Baby Play Date, Process Art, Messy Play, and Small World.

We like how cute their playground looks! If you’re particular about aesthetics, we think you’d love their minimalist and wooden look.

Save for their indoor playground, we like that they have workshops for kids and adults to join.

It’s also a great place to have a party or event for kids!

We also like how they upload the schedule of private events and activities so you’d know when to go and when not to go.

Their rates are also available on their website for your convenience.

While it’s a great place overall, we’ve heard of complaints about the poor service they provide with instances that their staff was being unfriendly towards customers.
