AIRPOTELs is one of the most well-known names for luggage storage in Thailand, thanks to having around 20 branches nationwide, including both Suvarnabhumi and Don Mueang airports in Bangkok.

Aside from the strong brand, we ranked AIRPOTELs as top in the business for its high accessibility and security. 

Online booking and cheap storage fees are hard to beat. Starting at 20 THB/hr or 100 THB a day, you can already get a very affordable and secure place for a small bag. 

That said, the AIRPOTELs service isn’t perfect. It would’ve been better if the DMK branch were bigger—right now it’s just a small kiosk and the bags left for storage stay in a somewhat cluttered queue beside it, before the transfer to a proper warehouse.

Additionally, AIRPOTELs has recently converted to an all-digital payment scheme. While it’s great, it would’ve been better if it still accepted cash payments, since not all tourists (it’s most likely customers) have their Thai e-money situation already sorted out.

Another solid choice for secure luggage storage in the city is Easy Drop. It only has two branches, both in Bangkok: one in Siam Square and one on Khao San Road. Despite the small-scale operation, it stands out for its central locations and added services.

Rates start at 30 THB and 50 THB an hour for small and larger bags, respectively. On the other hand, the daily small bag storage fee starts at 180 THB. Although these prices might seem high, we believe they’re justified given the location, particularly near key areas like the BTS.

What makes Easy Drop different is its shower facility, which is a total lifesaver for people in transit. For 180 THB, you’ll get 30 minutes to shower, along with a clean towel, soap, shampoo, conditioner, and a hair dryer.

We only hope that it opens 24/7, but that isn’t the case, since Easy Drop follows Siam Square’s mall hours.

Bounce is a unique, worldwide luggage storage network that partners with local businesses like shops and hotels (for space and staffing) instead of building standalone facilities. Booking storage is easy via its dedicated app.

We chose the Ratchathewi location because of its accessibility—a short walk from Sukhumvit Soi 11 and BTS Asok station. The price is great too, thanks to the 140 THB daily flat rate (expensive for those with only small bags, yes, but still a good deal).

One quirky thing about this Bounce is that it’s actually in a hostel (and its living room). The building looks very unassuming and is relatively easy to miss, unless you spot the small Bounce sign on its gate, so keep your eyes peeled.

Besides the unusual setup, this Bounce isn’t open 24/7, but we appreciate its 6:30 AM opening time—a big plus for those with early flights.

For long-term luggage storage, we highly recommend i-Store’s Phloen Chit – Nana branch. You can access your stuff here 24/7 using a personal code: the prime perk of using i-Store is the exclusivity and proximity to the namesake BTS stations. 

There’s a one-month minimum contract period and a one-month deposit required upfront, though, so leasing self-storage here isn’t for those on the go or on a tight budget. 

However, if this isn’t your case, the great English-speaking staff and multiple payment methods just make renting storage space here a breeze.

Once done with the paperwork, you’ll get a 0.72 square meter (7.75 square foot) storage room all to yourself. Store as many luggage pieces as possible in peace, since your items are protected from extreme heat or cold.

A wild card on our list is Pratunam Luggage Storage, an independent business near the BTS Ratchaprarop station. 

Your bags will probably be stored next door, at the tailor shop. However, don’t let the modest setup fool you: the staff here take security seriously and will make sure that your luggage is safe until your return. 

Given the small operation, the pricing did not surprise us. Minimum storage duration is half a day (6 hours, no hourly option), and costs 100 THB. A whole day is double that, while a week of storage will set you back 1,100 THB—not bad.

However, if you’ll only be in Pratunam for a couple of hours, you can actually negotiate for a discounted fee. We’re glad that the staff are flexible and understanding of clients in this regard.

We wish it were open 24/7, including Sundays, but it doesn’t. So, time your transactions accordingly.
