Speaking of lagoons, the clear pool at the base of the waterfall is great at enticing you to take a refreshing dip. And if you look around, you might even spot various species of birds and exotic plants.

Lastly, this Rainbow Waterfall is conveniently located near Pakarang and Pak Weeb beaches, allowing visitors to combine their trip with a visit to these beautiful coastal spots.

With a series of five cascading tiers, Ton Chong Fa Waterfalls brings another type of charm. For instance, the first tier, known as Ton Ru or the “Fish Spa,” is a popular spot where you can enjoy a natural foot massage from tiny fish in the shallow pools.

As you make your way up, you’ll encounter the other tiers like Ton Maliton, Ton Song Sahai, Tong Pha Hin, and last but not least, Ton Chong Fa, which is one of the largest waterfalls in Khao Lak.

You can expect the trail to the waterfalls to pass through tropical rainforest, and the hike is relatively short but includes some steep and uneven sections. So, reliable footwear would make things easier for you.

Pro tip:

The waterfall is at its best during the rainy season (June to October) since water flow is abundant. But, trails can be slippery, so exercise caution.

What we like most about Ton Pling Waterfall is that it’s just a short distance from the parking area. In other words, you can easily reach the waterfall without all the huffing and puffing during the hike, making it ideal for families and those who just want a quick nature retreat.

You’ll get to see clear, cool water rushing over large boulders into shallow pools that make for a perfect dip. Add the natural setting into the equation, and you’ve got yourself a beautiful environment for relaxation—stunning photos, too.

To experience it at its finest, consider visiting around June to October, or the rainy season. But it’s still a good idea to check the weather before going since the trail can get pretty slippery.

Pro tip:

Just a heads-up, there are no facilities or shops nearby, so bring your own water, snacks, a towel, and other necessities you might need.

Lampi Waterfall features a three-level stunner, with the most accessible tier showcasing a 30-meter drop into a clear pool below. We like how the gentle flow and lush surroundings create this serene atmosphere.

On that note, the main pool below the waterfall is spacious and deep, so you’ll be getting a decent swim here. You’ll also be happy to know it’s a short walk from the parking area.

Not to mention, Lampi Waterfall is located within Khao Lampi-Hat Thai Mueang National Park, so you can visit other attractions like beaches, mangrove forests, and the Sea Turtle Conservation Center.

Pro tip:

Your park entry fee also grants access to Ton Prai Waterfall and the coastal section of the coastal section of the national park on the same day. And restrooms and a small restaurant are available near the parking area.

A multi-level waterfall is tucked deep within the forest of Khao Lak–Lam Ru National Park, called Lam Ru Waterfall. It might not be as popular as Ton Chong Fa, but it does offer a more secluded and peaceful experience.

The perk of going here is that the park also features a coastal trail through lush rainforest that opens up to the park’s secret cove—the Small Sandy Beach. Expect an uncrowded beach with golden sand and turquoise water, which is great for a quick dip and a fun photoshoot.

Look out for butterflies, birds, monitor lizards (yes, monitor lizards), and tropical plants. And we appreciate that the park has facilities like toilets and a small food/drinks stall near the visitor center.

Pro tip:

There’s usually an admission fee of about ฿200 for adults and ฿100 for children, so make sure you bring cash. Gear up with mosquito repellent too, especially during or after the rainy season.

Located near Hat Thai Mueang and Khao Lak–Lam Ru National park, Wang Khiang Khu Waterfall can be a nice addition to a broader itinerary exploring the region’s attraction, especially if you won’t be staying long in the area.

The waterfall has shallow, clear pools ideal for kids and adults alike. You’ll notice how the gentle flow and rocky stream create a safe and enjoyable natural waterpark for swimming and unwinding.

And it’s even popular among locals, the waterfall area is a favored spot for picnics and leisurely afternoons. Plus, the presence of food stalls and ample parking makes it a convenient destination for a day out in nature.

Pro tip:

Just a few minutes from the falls, you can hop onto traditional bamboo rafts run by locals and drift peacefully down the river. This 45-minute ride takes you through a quiet jungle corridor—a must-experience!

Opening hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM

You’ll see a stunning 4-meter drop, cascading into pools surrounded by rainforest, when you visit Ton Phrai Waterfall. It’s pretty cool how the waterfall maintains its flow year-round, giving visitors a refreshing retreat even during the dry season.

We also found it more peaceful here since it’s less frequented than other waterfalls in the region. So, it’s a great spot to cool down or even have a nice photoshoot since you won’t have to worry about people getting in your shot.

On the other hand, the hike to the waterfall might also be why it’s less crowded. It involves a 650-700 meter hike through dense jungle, passing through bamboo bridges, stream crossings, and diverse flora. It’s worth the effort, though!

Pro tip:

The facilities can only be found near the trailhead, so make sure you’re well-equipped with necessities. Some essentials to consider bringing are insect repellent, water, and a waterproof bag to protect your belongings during stream crossings.

Bo Hin Waterfall

Address: Q7FH+QQW Unnamed Road Bang Muang, Takua Pa District, Phang Nga 82190
Contact details: N/A
Opening hours: Open daily
Website

Bo Hin Waterfall feels like a hidden gem—it’s nestled within a forest and only a few people visit each day. So, if you want that quiet and slow day while enjoying cascading water, this might be for you.

It’s a cute little waterfall, so don’t expect a 20-meter drop of rushing water. It’s more of a gentle flow with a nice pool, perfect for a refreshing dip without all the buzz you might get at more popular spots.

You can get here after a short drive from Bang Sak Beach, and visitors can easily combine a beach outing with a visit to the waterfalls for a full day of exploration. Speaking of exploring, the local eateries around the area are worth trying, too.

Pro tip:

It’s advisable to bring your own refreshments, swimwear, a towel, insect repellent, and water shoes. And while the site is relatively underdeveloped, basic facilities are available.

Ton Tham Waterfall

Address: P8R4+CHW, Khuekkhak, Takua Pa District
Contact details: N/A
Opening hours: N/A
Website

Ton Tham Waterfall is another place that doesn’t get too much buzz from tourists since it’s noticeably smaller than the other falls on this list. It’s tucked in Takua Pa’s dense greenery, so the journey takes you to rich forest trails, giving a nice taste of adventure before you reach the falls.

Though small, the water flows into a clear, calm basin—perfect for a swim after the hike. And it’s surrounded by trees and mossy rocks, so the swimming hole feels like a private jungle bath.

Lastly, keep your eyes peeled: bats sometimes cluster inside nearby caves, and local fish swim close enough to feed. Plus, there’s even a self-service station where you can buy a bag of fish food, which we think is a nice touch.

Pro tip:

Don’t forget to pack essentials like water, bug spray, and a camera. And while the trail is relatively easy, comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended.

Khanim Waterfall is approximately a 30-minute drive south of Khao Lak, which isn’t that far at all. Compared to other waterfalls in the region, this one has less foot traffic and tourists, offering a more secluded and intimate experience with nature.

It’s also nice to see that the path to the waterfall is nestled within a forested area, making it accessible for visitors of all fitness levels. The trail allows a chill walk through the lush landscape, leading to the picturesque waterfall.

The surrounding areas make for great picnic spots, too, especially with the soothing sounds of flowing water and shade from the trees.

Pro tip:

Consider pairing your trip with nearby attractions like the Khao Lampi-Hat Thai Mueang National Park or local markets to make your experience better.
