Where is Nong Nooch Tropical Garden?
Nong Nooch Tropical Garden is in Chonburi’s south end. It’s bounded by a residential area, Nong Nooch Pattaya Camp to the east, Huay Tu Song Reservoir to the south, and Sai Noen Samakkhi Road to the west.

How to Get to Nong Nooch Tropical Garden
Bus: The best way to get to Nong Nooch Tropical Garden from Bangkok is to ride a bus from Mochit Bus Terminal to Sattahip District. The trip only takes approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes, but you still need to take a 20-minute taxi ride to the garden.
Train: Another option is the train at Bangkok’s Hua Lamphong Train Station which can drop you off at Suan Nong Nuch Station. From here, Nong Nooch Tropical Garden is only a 5-minute taxi ride.
Though this option is cheap, the journey can take up to 4 hours.
Taxi: Hiring a taxi in Bangkok to Nong Nooch Tropical Garden is convenient and fast. For instance, you can hail them from the city’s streets or book them with Grab or Bolt and ask to be picked up anywhere.
Bangkok taxis can take you to the garden in only 2 hours, so it’s definitely worth the expensive fare.
Rental Car: Finally, you can self-drive from Bangkok to get to Nong Nooch Tropical Garden. But keep in mind you must have a driver’s license and an International Driving Permit to rent and drive a car in Thailand.
From Bangkok, take Route 7 via the Sirat Expressway and Bangkok-Chonburi New Line before switching to Pattaya-Map Ta Phut Road in Pattaya City. Keep driving south, exit via the Huai Yai Toll Gate to Highway 7, and turn left to Highway 3.
Keep driving south until you see a giant billboard for Nong Nooch Garden & Resort and turn left to the road with a gilded monument and the garden owner’s image. Follow this road until you reach the botanical garden.

They also have themed gardens inspired by local and International designs and styles. Think Italian, French, European, Caribbean, and even a unique Thai topiary!
Plus, they have gardens dedicated to specific plants like cacti, bonsai, hibiscus, ferns, orchids, palm trees, and various tropical plant species. Their gardens for plant research and cultivating floras native to other countries are also a plus.

Entertainment is one of Nong Nooch Tropical Garden’s biggest draws apart from its countless gardens. In fact, families and tourists frequent this place for their cultural, elephant, and cabaret shows.
The Thai cultural show, in particular, is their best-seller. It features delicate dance routines, fierce martial arts, colorful traditional costumes, and flashy stage production, running for four rounds daily with a theater accommodating up to 2,030 guests.

One of their biggest highlights is Dinosaur Valley where visitors can find numerous giant sculptures of ancient reptiles. They have countless dinosaur sculptures, so expect plenty of photo opportunities during your tour.

They have over 100 restored cars and vintage automobiles displayed in two buildings. There, you’ll see unique cars like The Ariel Atom, Campagna T-Rex, Radical SR 3SL, KTM X-Bow, Caterham 7, Morgan 3 Wheeler, and more.
The showroom also has LED displays showcasing the features of the cars which will blow any car fanatic’s mind. Plus, there’s an on-site cafe so you’re covered for a quick snack or drink during your visit.

Their educational tour will take you through nine learning stations where you’ll learn about the effects of global warming and how we can help deal with it. They also provide a professional guide to entertain any visitor’s questions during the tour.

Our team is particularly into the cooking class because they teach how to make classic and popular Thai dishes like tom yum goong, kaeng khiao wan, and pad Thai. And you get to eat the food you’re cooking which is a plus.

If you have a soft spot for marine animals, you can also head to Nong Nooch Tropical Garden’s two lakes. These quiet lakes are home to over 100 giant arapaimas that visitors can feed.
Fish food is available for a small price and you tie them to the wooden rod they provide. Bear in mind that these rods don’t have fishhooks so you can’t land the arapaimas once they bite.

Sunplay Paradiso is an excellent choice if you crave Italian food. Their exquisite menu includes authentic Italian steaks, pizzas, salads, pasta, and desserts, so expect good food variety.
They also change their menu items weekly, keeping the dining experience fresh and exciting. On the third Sunday of every month, they also have a reasonably priced all-you-can-eat promotion since it lets you indulge in all their superb dishes.

This gives you plenty of options, like grilled prawns, fresh oysters, steamed fish, stir-fried squid, and more! But if you’re adventurous, you can also try their signature raw seafood salad platter.
It’s a Teochew-style dish with various marinated seafood (like salmon sashimi, soft-shell crab, oyster, and more) and a spicy dipping sauce.

Our go-to is their spicy seafood stir-fry. They can make it with shark or stingray meat, and we definitely think everyone should try it at least once.

Viva Montane is only 13 minutes from Nong Nooch Botanical Garden, so it’s definitely a solid option because of its convenient location. It’s also a great place for families thanks to its large rooms and double-decker bed options for guests with kids.
But what we like most is the property’s vast grass field where kids can get busy so their parents can enjoy a much-deserved relaxation. It has a fun and challenging BMX track and a small enclosure filled with giant tortoises.
The resort’s tortoises are friendly and you can feed and take plenty of photos with them which is a plus.
