Songkhla, a city in southern Thailand, experiences a tropical climate that is hot and humid year-round. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Rainy Season: Lasting from May to January, with the heaviest rains occurring from October to December. June to September and January usually see less intense rainfall. Despite the rain, showers are still possible during the short dry season from late January to April.
  • Temperatures: The city remains warm throughout the year. From November to January, highs are around 30°C (86°F), offering a slightly cooler period. From March to October, expect very hot days with temperatures reaching 35-37°C (95-99°F).
  • Humidity: High humidity levels make the heat feel more intense. The presence of nearby lakes adds to the humidity and heat. However, sea breezes often provide some relief.
