Dr. Eric K. Mason’s Lighthouse Counselling really sets itself apart if you want a seasoned therapist who understands both expat and Thai clients.
He brings a wealth of experience from the US, and you can absolutely tell there’s a solid foundation behind the services—he’s been established since 2012, after all.
The menu at Lighthouse is broad: psychotherapy, life coaching, addiction recovery, ADHD assessments, and diagnostic testing, so you’ll have options. What we really appreciate is that they’re up-front about pricing.
Their packages for longer-term therapy actually save you a bit, especially if you’re planning on regular sessions.
As for the actual sessions, previous patients we spoke with mentioned that they feel like they were actually listened to. Dr. Mason’s warmth is genuine, and he doesn’t rush through sessions at all.
Furthermore, the clinic feels welcoming, and the appointment scheduling (online or in person) is pretty flexible. Unfortunately, there was one hiccup with double booking, which the staff handled quickly, but it’s worth flagging.

Phatthapong “Boss” Thamrongpreechachai of OOCA Mental Wellness Clinic got a master’s in counseling psych from Chiang Mai University and a heavy toolkit—CBT, mindfulness, Buddhist psychology, self-compassion—the works.
From what we learned, he’s especially good with stress, mood issues, rough patches in relationships, and pretty much anyone new to therapy. He doesn’t just stick to a script; sessions actually feel like they’re built around you.
Now, the clinic itself is super chill and private, which is great if you’re an introvert or just not into clinical atmospheres. We did notice, though, that the waiting area could be tidier when things get busy, but nothing ruined the experience.
Some extra points: their tech set-up is next-level—their Uga app makes online booking (and even online therapy) hassle-free. Tried it ourselves—it was as easy as therapy gets.
Plus, free stress tests and meds can be delivered if that’s part of your care. A few clients we chatted with swear by the online sessions, especially if you want to skip the rare messy area.
Welcoming atmosphere
“I didn’t do a treatment but the people are wonderful. Also doesn’t feel like a clinic, which I like.”
Jonas Koblin, Google Review
Attentive care
“Good presentation, good care from the staff, the doctor gave advice to the point, making me understand myself better.”

We’re pretty picky when it comes to recommending mental health support that actually understands its clients, but Unicorn Care by. Dr. Stephanie Garner really does things differently.
Dr. Stephanie’s spot, tucked away in The Trendy Office (super central and easy to get to), genuinely feels welcoming and safe.
And clients we talked to kept echoing the same thing: if you’re LGBTQI+, polyamorous, practicing CNM, or kink-involved, you’re not just “tolerated” here—you’re seen and understood.
Dr. Stephanie herself brings some serious credentials (based in Bangkok since 2012, an Australian Counselling Association member, and a UK/PhD background).
Furthermore, if you hate rigid hours, you’ll love their flexibility. Unicorn Care runs both in-person and online sessions, including evenings and weekends.
We also noticed that the pricing is clear, with a nice THB 500 discount for trans clients—a major plus for transparency! If there’s one ding, it’s that you absolutely have to book ahead, since they don’t accept walk-ins.
Open-minded and supportive therapist
“Dr Stef is a wonderful, caring counsellor, open minded and professional. Great to have counseling in English. Anyone with issues with alternative lifestyles or relationships will feel completely at ease. Conveniently located in the Nana area, close to the BTS.”
