  • Good for kids

Cons

  • Serves small portions

Are you looking for a place with various delectable cuisines to eat – but with a twist? Then, don’t hesitate and run to Chocolate Ville, located in Khan Na Yao District in Bangkok!

Aside from the sweet treats and palatable meals, you’ll get a chance to encounter a one-of-a-kind dining experience with its unique designs and decorations. This place will not only fill your tummy but also feed your eyes with the wonderful concepts with its embellishments.

All the spots are definitely “instagrammable,” as they say. Mascots are also disguised as bears and animals, which act as its trademark.

When it comes to its rates, from the cost of the entrance fee to the prices of food are fair and reasonable. That’s why we urge you to give it a try!

The place is safe, for it has numerous in-store policies. For example, to keep us comfortable and relieved with our health, staffs consistently sanitize the surfaces and seats, provide regular ventilation; wear face masks; frequently use sanitizers, hand wash, and even mouthwash,

We also like that the restaurant allows contactless payments, which we find convenient.

Another feature that we like about Chocolate Ville is it has designated areas for customers who need privacy. Private rooms are also available, especially if one needs to smoke or breastfeed.

We had no issues with the meal and services. However, we observed that the shop’s serving portions were slightly smaller than we had anticipated.

Pros

  • Offers wide range of desserts
  • Has clean facility
  • Unique and cute restaurant
  • Has excellent customer service
  • Offers reasonable prices

Cons

  • Has language issues

Ever gone to a restaurant with a staff willing to sing and dance for you and even call you “Master”? If not, maybe it’s time to try something new with Maidreamin!

We’re not sure whether you’ve considered maid cafés to be a little odd. But, this one tucked away in MBK Center seems quite similar to other adorable dessert shops from the outside until you encounter a complete French maid waiter inside.

This cute restaurant will make you go back more often, not only because of the food but also because of its friendly and pretty servers!

We also like that you can ask the servers to take wonderful pictures of you or your family and friends around the establishment.

The interiors give off an “anime” vibe, for it was first founded in Japan last 2008. Hence, there’s no way for you to go home without an adorable photo to post on your social media account.

Maidreamin’s dishes and desserts are not just delicious but also irresistibly cute. They are molded and designed as characters such as bears, frogs, and other adorable animals that you can see in kiddie books.

However, we just had a problem with the language barrier. That’s why, at some point, there was a miscommunication about the design of our plate.

But all in all, everything was great! We would love to go back and eat in this uniquely appealing restaurant.

Pros

  • Has accommodating staff
  • Serves a wide range of menu
  • Has unique decorations
  • Has live music
  • Offers reasonable prices

Cons

  • Inconsistent quality of service

The Cabbages & Condoms (C&C) Restaurant, one of Metropolitan Bangkok’s most unique restaurants, has garnered notice on a global scale. C&C is a favorite among domestic and foreign customers due to its convenient location close to one of Bangkok’s key commercial areas.

The restaurant was designed to encourage greater knowledge and acceptance of family planning and to generate cash to assist the Population and Community Development Association’s many development initiatives (PDA).

This eatery has a lively, distinctive theme. Aside from the quirky decorations, the restaurant also has live music, perfect for your dining experience.

Overall, a fantastic dinner, from the fantastic breakfast and lunch menus to the restaurant’s ice cream choices!

We appreciate the staff’s friendliness and willingness to listen to you and meet your demands.

The restaurant is spotless, making every nook and cranny worthy of a spot on your Instagram page.

Another aspect we like about Cabbages & Condoms is offering a menu with reasonable prices. So despite its popularity, it’s still budget-friendly.

You may be wondering if kids are allowed here, given its theme. The answer is yes, and we found it a comfy spot to dine with the entire family.

We must also mention that although the restaurant is filled with decorations made of contraceptives, it doesn’t exhibit any explicit illustrations or ideas.

However, previous customers have claimed they received subpar services, particularly in meeting their needs.

Pros

  • Good for coffee and flower lovers
  • Has accommodating and friendly staff
  • Has relaxing ambiance
  • Serves delicious pastries

Cons

  • Small facility
  • Facility gets easily crowded

Are you an anthophile and a coffee lover? Then run to this shop because Nana Coffee Roasters’ is a perfect place for you!

As a person who loves to drink coffee, we would love to consider this shop our happy place. The flavor, aroma, temperature of the water, bitterness, acidity, and thickness they serve us are exactly what we wanted.

We also find it remarkable that the environment is relieving and comforting, for plants will surround you, and a fresh wind blow will subtly caress your skin.

The establishment, housed in a historic shop close to Hua Lamphong Station, has two floors: the first floor is occupied by a flower shop and the second floor by coffee roasters.

We admire the shop’s interior, charmingly adorned with old furniture and dried flowers, and a rusty spiral staircase that integrates the entire space.

In addition, its decors give you a feeling of the old times with its sophisticated and detailed embellishments on the wall.

Even before the coffee shop opens, you’ll see a line of customers waiting to get inside.

Moreover, the place is known for its delicious home-baked cakes. These pastries always sell out quickly due to their authentic flavor and fluffy texture.

Overall, our experience was great. We just wish the cafe would consider expanding its area since its customer pool is getting larger over time.

Pros

  • Offers wide range of products
  • Has friendly and accommodating staff
  • Exhibits clean facilities

Cons

  • Poor online customer service
  • Inconsistent quality of service

Do you want to travel and have a walk around Bangkok but your heavy baggage burdens you? You don’t need to worry about anything because the 2-in-1 coffee shop and hostel, Thales Khaosan, has your back!

Its coffee will wake you up and give you energy for the rest of your trip. It balances sweetness, bitterness, and acidity, with a smooth flavor and absolutely no off-notes.

Also, we like that Thales Khaosan is accessible and near the city. So we don’t have to worry about traveling far just to explore Bangkok.

Tales Khaosan has the ideal location, being only a short distance from Khaosan Road and close to the Grand Palace, Wat Pho, and Wat Arun. But that doesn’t mean you’ll get to hear all the traffic noises because it is well sound-proofed and air-ventilated.

Moreover, the interiors and designs are modernized, from the walls to the ceilings to the floors.

Plus, the staff is helpful and friendly. We like their warm approach to their customers and appreciate how they guided us throughout our stay.

We just noticed that they have a bit of consistency in their food. Sometimes, it came in exact portions as advertised, while other times, it was a bit smaller.

Nevertheless, it was a great experience, and we highly recommend Tales Khaosan if you want to experience an eatery with a hostel.
