Pros

  • Has a tranquil space
  • Yoga sala is located approximately 50 metres from the beach
  • Has knowledgeable and passionate teachers

Cons

  • Lack of explicit communication about the child policy on the website.

Shambhala Yoga stands out as a sanctuary that seamlessly combines traditional yoga practices with serene island vibes. We like that they offer a range of classes suitable for practitioners of all levels.

Upon checking them out, we love that the studio provides a tranquil space for self-discovery and holistic well-being. Also, we enjoy that the yoga sala is approximately 50 metres from the beach.

For us, this adds a delightful touch to the yoga experience at Shambhala Yoga.

Additionally, our research revealed that the teacher at Shambhala Yoga is highly knowledgeable and passionate.

We value that they adeptly adjusted the class to match participants’ abilities and experiences, offering clear instructions from pranayama to peak poses.

Plus, we think it’s remarkable how the thoughtfully used lights, music, and curtains throughout the session create a pleasant and immersive environment.

However, we must note that there’s a policy against bringing kids to the studio, even if they are only watching from the side.

This policy led to some disappointment among surveyed clients, with two individuals sharing that they were asked to leave because they brought their child with them.

While we acknowledge the potential for children to be a distraction during yoga sessions, it would have been helpful if this policy was explicitly communicated on the website.

Alternatively, the studio could have suggested suitable nearby facilities or areas where parents could watch their children while participating in the sessions.

Pros

  • Has a breathtaking view overlooking crystal-clear waters
  • Offers a variety of practices
  • Has flexible entry passes
  • Has warm and welcoming staff
  • Also serves s as a restaurant and a free diving centre

Cons

  • Some individuals find the yoga classes intense

What we like most about Blue Chitta is it combines the art of yoga with the beauty of Koh Tao’s landscape. Overlooking the crystal-clear waters, this seaside studio  offers classes coupled with a breathtaking view!

The variety of available yoga practices also stands out for us, since Blue Chitta offers different practices, from energetic classes to calming meditation sessions.

We also found that they offer daily and weekly passes and even private classes. In our books, this variety allows client flexibility in schedule and budget.

Moreover, we think it’s great that those who are dropping for a yoga session last minute can join a class or event, as long as they show up 10 minutes before class!

We also value the warm and welcoming staff, who exude a passion for yoga and add charm to the experience. We like their warm demeanour when explaining class details.

Beyond yoga, Blue Chitta has a restaurant with healthy food and is also a freediving centre, catering to both body and soul — which is a big plus in our books!

However, amidst the praises, a minor hiccup surfaced. Some people we spoke with mentioned that the yoga classes at Blue Chitta are intense.

Nevertheless, we think it depends on personal preference. The studio has great instructors, so it might not be a big issue unless you’re not used to strong sessions.

Pros

  • Dedicated to providing a diverse range of wellness practices
  • Has experienced instructors
  • Embraces the natural beauty of Koh Tao with both indoor and outdoor spaces.

Cons

  • Few reports of some sessions feeling rushed

Untamed Wellness Studio is an oasis of holistic well-being nestled in the heart of Koh Tao. We value that this haven of tranquillity invites patrons to embark on self-discovery and rejuvenation.

What we find exciting is that the studio is dedicated to providing a diverse range of wellness practices, fostering balance for both the body and mind.

And in our books, Untamed Wellness Studio stands out for its unique blend of yoga, meditation, and mindfulness classes, catering to practitioners of all levels.

With their experienced instructors guiding each session, we love that practitioners can explore various styles and find what resonates with them.

Another distinctive feature that we like about Untamed Wellness is its commitment to embracing the natural beauty of Koh Tao. Picture yourself practising yoga with the gentle rustle of palm leaves and the soothing sounds of nature as your backdrop.

We especially like that the studio offers indoor and outdoor spaces, allowing practitioners to connect with the island’s serene atmosphere during their practice.

However, we discovered that some sessions were a bit rushed through. For instance, one client we spoke with claimed that the flow of certain classes felt hurried, leaving limited time to absorb and embrace the practice fully.

Pros

  • Has skillful instructors
  • Offers a variety of classes
  • Has a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere
  • Proximity to Sairee Beach (800 metres away)

Cons

  • Relatively pricey compared to other studios in Koh Tao
  • The studio may get fully packed easily,

True to its name, The Reborn Yoga studio in Koh Tao lives up to its promise of being a sanctuary for rejuvenation and self-discovery.

Upon stepping into this nurturing space, we encountered instructors who skillfully guided us through classes dedicated to revitalising both body and mind.

From our experience, we like how the classes here offer a perfect blend of challenges and modifications. We think this ensures that everyone can enjoy and benefit from the sessions regardless of skill level.

Moreover, we appreciate the instructors’ warm hospitality and valuable pointers on improving form. The inclusivity of the classes is evident as they offer multiple modifications catering to beginners and experienced yogis alike.

Plus, we like how the studio exudes a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, providing a peaceful haven for practice. It’s also air-conditioned, adding extra comfort to our practice!

However, what stands out as the best part is the proximity to Sairee Beach, which is 800 metres away.

This accessibility allows us to seamlessly integrate our yoga practice with the calming vibes of the nearby beach—a truly delightful combination for our wellness journey.

On the downside, we were quite iffy about it being a bit pricey compared to the other studios in the area.

Additionally, due to its popularity, we found that it tends to get fully packed quite quickly. This could be a drawback for those who prefer a more spacious and relaxed environment during their yoga sessions.

Pros

  • Also serves as a cafe
  • Staff is friendly and helpful
  • Offers affordable yoga classes
  • All classes are conducted in English

Cons

  • Classes may lean more towards beginners
  • Limited class schedules with only two sessions

As its name suggests, a unique fusion awaits at Living Juices & Yoga, where wellness extends beyond the mat.

Upon checking them out, we love how they offer invigorating yoga classes and complements them with refreshing, nourishing drinks and dishes. With this, patrons

can immerse themselves in a holistic approach.

Plus, we appreciate the staff’s friendliness and helpfulness, creating a calming and tranquil atmosphere that makes relaxation effortless.

However, the standout feature for us is the affordability of the yoga classes at only 200 baht, a budget-friendly option compared to other places!

Also, we commend the teachers for being total sweethearts. They create this safe space where everyone’s welcome!

Another positive aspect in our books is that all classes are conducted in English, catering to the international community.

However, based on our surveys, we noted that the classes tend to lean more towards beginners, with feedback indicating a focus on foundational poses.

While this may be ideal for those starting their yoga journey, individuals seeking more advanced poses might find the offerings limited.

Also, we were disappointed to learn that they only offer two schedules – 8 AM and 10 AM – which is somewhat limiting.

Nonetheless, for those prioritising a welcoming environment, budget-friendly options, and a holistic wellness approach in Koh Tao, Living Juices & Yoga remains an appealing choice.
