How to Get to Sukhothai

By Air: The nearest major airport to Sukhothai is Sukhothai Airport (THS), which is served by domestic flights from Bangkok.
From the airport, you can take a taxi or arrange for a hotel transfer to reach your accommodation in Sukhothai city, which is about a 30-minute drive away.
By Bus: Sukhothai is well-connected by bus to major cities in Thailand. Most travellers arrive via Bangkok, and there are both VIP and standard bus services available. Buses from Bangkok to Sukhothai take approximately 7-8 hours.
You can check the schedules and book tickets at the Northern Bus Terminal (Mo Chit 2) in Bangkok or at the Sukhothai Bus Terminal.
By Train and Bus: Another option is to take a train from Bangkok’s Hua Lamphong Station to Phitsanulok, which is the nearest major train station to Sukhothai.
From Phitsanulok, you can then take a bus or van to Sukhothai, which is about a 1.5 to 2-hour journey.

Rainy Season (April to October): Rainy season temperatures range from 25°C to 32°C (77°F to 89.6°F). While it’s cooler than the hot season, it’s also more humid.
