If rock music is your thing, going to The Rock Pub Bangkok for live music should be a no-brainer. On the other side of the fence, you may find all the banging of the drums and screaming of the vocals too loud if you’re into jazz or blues.

While you’re here, you can immerse in the performances of local and international rock bands! Expect to hear both global hits and original music that will rock your soul to its core.

The Rock Pub is more than just a quintessential bar with loud and rad music – it also hosts mini-concerts and dive parties. This means, though, that you have to book a ticket or pay an entry fee for some of their special events.

The place is teeming with talent, mostly rock bands, and the good news is entrance is free on most nights—if events are not announced. However, you’ll have to order at the bar to keep your seat.

Like most music bars, entry here is free unless a hotshot band is having a mini-concert and requires a paid ticket. However, there are also times when you can enter the bar for free even when they have international musicians playing!

Speaking of surprises, Brown Sugar sometimes holds art exhibits on special days, so that’s something you can keep an eye on as well. You may want to bring the family in those days.

Maggie Choo’s is a Shanghai-inspired speakeasy jazz club. Inside, you’ll notice the interior design looks like an old bank, which adds to the already charming atmosphere of this famous music bar.

Unfortunately, you have to wait until 10 p.m. before their live band takes the stage, so it’s best to come here during the late hours. During this time, the atmosphere becomes livelier, especially on weekends, when renowned artists perform.

Meanwhile, DJs or rock bands grace the stage during weekdays, so you’ll notice a different crowd throughout the entire week. You might want to take note of the weekly schedule if you’re rooting for a particular music genre.

When it comes to the menu, Maggie Choo’s standout items are its imported beers, whiskeys, and wines. You can enjoy how these drinks elevate the experience while you chill out to your kind of jam in the club!
