10 Best Live Music Spots in Phuket Serving Great Tunes and Fun Vibes
My friends and I went on a much-needed vacation to Phuket recently, and we were able to get amazing massages near the beach, eat excellent local food, and enjoy water activities. But one of my nonnegotiables this trip is to enjoy live music while throwing down a few beers.
Music does wonders for my mental health, so I was so happy I got to visit some live music venues in Phuket with my friends. Since I had a fantastic time bopping to good music, I wanted to share my top picks with fellow music lovers out there.

New York – Live Music Bar

If you enjoy rock and pop music, New York – Live Music Bar is the place to be. They have delicious and reasonably-priced drinks, yummy finger food, and a fun atmosphere to chill and party.
We admire how the musicians who play here do so with much gusto and passion. There were local and international artists playing, which is pretty cool since, in a way, you’re experiencing the world.
It’s hard not to sing along or dance to the music. Since they mostly play rock tunes, the energy remains high until the night ends. It’s a great place to feel the hype!
One of the things we noticed here is that even the staff are lively! Their friendly smiles and warmth definitely add to the experience.
Pro Tip: We love their shrimp tempura, spring rolls, and fries! They go perfectly with cocktails and beer.
Bebop Live Music Bar

If you love the likes of Frank Sinatra, Billie Holiday, Stevie Wonder, and Nina Simone, you’ll love it here. Bebop has talented musicians who play jazz favorites, new pop songs, and soul.
One night, there were two saxophonists and one trombonist playing with the band, creating a lively, soul-igniting sound. The singers are so talented, their voices transport you to another dimension. The interiors are rustic, and it plays into the overall vibe of the place.
What I love about this place is that even if you’re alone or with friends, the vibes just work. There’s a sense of community that makes the experience worthwhile.
As for the food, we enjoyed the fries and nuggets, but we loved the cocktails the most!
Pro Tip: Solo singers open the night by serenading patrons, while the full band starts playing at 10 PM! While we highly suggest you stay the night, we hope this helps you decide what time to go based on your mood.
Arther Phuket

Arther Phuket is the place to go to if you want to party or want the feel of a concert. They play EDM, pop songs, and rock tunes. The place is vibrant with a solid sound system and big names playing once a week!
You can check the schedule of the bands on their page. Aside from live bands, there are DJs who really bring the house down. We love how every week is a new experience here. It’s the perfect place to bring friends and workmates to decompress and have a great time.
Pro Tip: Don’t miss out on their ribs and wings here – they’re flavor bombs worth writing home about.

The Column Phuket is located in a very accessible location. We love going here because it has good music, tasty food, and friendly staff who will even strike conversation with you. The feel of the place is intimate, with musicians playing a mix of Thai and international music.
It has the vibe of a hip bar while being a laidback music video. It’s a chill place to enjoy music and the local scene, while spending time with good company.
Pro Tip: When you get hungry, you can check out their menu for food and drinks. Their crispy pork with holy basil is our favorite pre-gig chow, along with the Korean fried chicken.
Michel Angelo’s Bar, Lounge and Diner

If you’re after the community experience, Michel Angelo’s Bar, Lounge, and Diner is a good bet! You can watch live music and live sports here. They serve amazing food from different cuisines, including Thai grilled BBQ, American, and Italian classics.
Our personal favorites include the chicken wings, burgers, and burritos. It’s a chill place where you can stop for a beer or two with your buddies and eat good food.
The ambience of the place is cozy and casual, yet it can be loud sometimes. You can even jam here because they often host open mics. You can also send in song requests!

Papazula

If you’re looking for a place with an eclectic and retro feel, Papazula is a great place to visit. They serve Turkish, Thai, and European dishes that taste good and are reasonably priced. Some of our must-tries are the burgers, kebab, pineapple fried rice, pad thai, and calamari.
We love coming here for the outdoor seating to get fresh air, listen to fun music, and drink delicious cocktails. The place is also interestingly designed. Art is all over the walls. It’s a great place to take fun pictures with your friends.
The past few times we’ve been here, we heard pop, blues, and solid rock. If those are your genres, you’ll have a good time!
Pro Tip: Try out the Turkish black tea here, it’s delicious! The owner is also very nice, so don’t be afraid to strike up a conversation with him.
Flame Phuket Town – Restaurant & Nightclub

If you like concerts, a vibrant music scene, and the hyped energy of the crowds, Flame Phuket Town is a great entertainment club for you.
They play a lot of pop and rock, and it is a common venue for concerts and shows – just keep an eye on their social media for the schedule.
We like that the place is well-maintained. The bathrooms and surroundings are clean. The lights and sound system are pretty good.
They also have an extensive menu of drinks and food, but it can get expensive. So that’s something to consider. But if you have money to spend, their courses, like the steak with wine, taste wonderful and are worth the expense.
Pro Tip: There’s ample parking here!
Hard Rock Cafe Phuket

Hard Rock Cafe is expectedly expensive, but after visiting ourselves, we found it was worth the hype and the cost.
The building itself was huge, featuring two floors, a restaurant that could hold 300 people, an outside patio, and a shop to buy Hard Rock Cafe items and merchandise.
My dad was a Hard Rock collector, so I’m pretty familiar with the franchise. They have exciting live music every week, which we love. They play a lot of tribute music, and of course, rock. The musicians are very talented, and the ambience is warm and inviting.
As for the food, their burgers are famous for a reason. Juicy, flavorful, and filling, these burgers will satisfy your cravings. They have amazing Western food here that you shouldn’t miss out on!

Molly’s Tavern Irish Bar & Restaurant

The Irish have a term called “craic,” which means to have fun, and Molly’s Tavern Irish Bar and Restaurant is where the spirit of craic comes alive in Pa Tong.
This spacious club has live music, live sports, and delicious Thai and Irish favorites such as burgers and mash, fish and chips, pad thai, and chicken satay. We love that whether you want something Western or Thai, you’ll find something here.

The bands here are very talented and know how to put on a show. They interact with their audience and pass the vibe check. They play a lot of rock, pop, and even originals sometimes!
