Pros

  • Unique location in a beautiful historic house
  • Has a team of seasoned and certified instructors
  • Cultivates a sense of community

Cons

  • Some clients claim it might be more suitable for super-advanced yogis

Freedom Yoga Studio stands as a beacon for those seeking a holistic yoga experience in Chiang Mai. We like how it provides a serene environment dedicated to fostering freedom in both body and mind.

After checking them out, we were impressed that it boasts a team of seasoned and certified instructors. All teachers were excellent, offering a practice that meets everyone at their own level.

Beyond the physical practice, we also value that Freedom Yoga Studio cultivates a sense of community, ensuring that each session becomes not just a workout but a shared journey of self-discovery.

We also think it’s kind of unique that the studio is located in a beautiful historic house with gorgeous wood floors and walls. Plus, it’s great that the place is relaxing and welcoming!

Our favourite spot in the house is their comfy seating area to chat after class while enjoying a fresh juice or smoothie.

On the downside, we heard some claims that Freedom Yoga Studio might be more suitable for super-advanced yogis.

From our surveys, some people mentioned that they wished there were more reminders on when to breathe or targeted instructions to avoid discomfort in some poses.

Nonetheless, we think Freedom Yoga Studio is an excellent place to practise yoga. Though beginners may do better by being more vocal in expressing their concerns to the instructors.

Pros

  • Offers comprehensive and detailed foundation for beginners
  • Emphasis on the mental and emotional aspects of yoga
  • Offers a yoga teacher training course

Cons

  • Some concerns about the studio’s location

Yoga Ananda stands out as a sanctuary that seamlessly blends traditional yogic teachings with a modern approach. From what we’ve seen, it integrates traditional practices with modern methods.

In our books, what sets Yoga Ananda apart is its commitment to providing a comprehensive and detailed foundation for beginners.

Based on the feedback we received, instructors here ensure that students receive ample information and guidance as they delve into the practice—-something we truly appreciate!

Plus, we also like that the instructors at Yoga Ananda go beyond the physical postures, incorporating positive energy and encouraging words into their teaching style.

We believe that this emphasis on the mental and emotional aspects of yoga enhances the overall experience for practitioners.

Many past visitors have also praised the studio for creating a positive and transformative atmosphere, and we agree with them!

In addition to regular yoga classes catering to various levels, we love that Yoga Ananda also offers a yoga teacher training course.

For us, this aspect is important because it demonstrates their dedication to not only sharing the practice with individuals but also nurturing the next generation of yoga instructors.

However, we think it’s essential to note that some customers have expressed concerns about the studio’s location.

The fact that it’s situated inside a building without natural light and proper air ventilation has left a few patrons disappointed, and we hope Yoga Ananda can make the necessary upgrades to improve the situation.

Pros

  • Emphasis on therapeutic practices for mental and emotional well-being
  • Instructors with training in yoga and various healing modalities
  • Hosts wellness workshops covering practices like reiki, tai chi, and qigong

Cons

  • Few reports of disappointment regarding the studio’s ventilation

Body and Mind Healing offers a yoga experience that transcends physical postures, focusing on therapeutic practices for mental and emotional well-being.

We like that the studio boasts experienced instructors with training not only in yoga but also in various healing modalities.

In addition to its regular yoga classes, we love that Body and Mind Healing hosts wellness workshops covering practices like reiki, tai chi, and qigong. We think that this diverse offering adds an extra layer of depth to the studio’s approach.

When it comes to yoga instruction, we like that Rod, the instructor, emphasises simplicity in his guidance. He provides clear instructions, corrects postures for safety, and employs a progressive teaching method.

This involves repeating learned moves from previous lessons while gradually introducing new elements, allowing for a solid understanding and noticeable improvement over time.

Based on the information we gathered from our surveys, we’d like to applaud Rod’s wealth of knowledge and practical tools aimed at helping individuals lead happier, more energised, and fulfilling lives.

However, we must mention that some visitors have expressed disappointment regarding the studio’s ventilation. While equipped with fans, the absence of air conditioning has been a point of concern, especially in Thailand’s humid climate.

We believe that this might be a consideration for those who prefer a cooler environment during their practice—but it’s a plus if you’re fond of hot yoga!

Pros

  • Has spiritual touch to the practice
  • Specialisation in Vinyasa yoga classes
  • Proficiency in English among teachers
  • Offers convenient short classes for individuals with limited time

Cons

  • Despite having several fans, the absence of air conditioning may impact overall comfort, particularly in warmer weather

Om Ganesha Yoga is a charming studio that adds a spiritual touch to the practice, inviting participants to connect with their inner divine.

After checking them out, we like how the studio’s approach seamlessly weaves together traditional yogic principles with a playful and joyful atmosphere.

We believe that this blend not only sets a positive tone for each session but also fosters a unique and vibrant energy within Om Ganesha Yoga.

Also, we found it noteworthy that Om Ganesha Yoga particularly excels in providing Vinyasa yoga classes. We believe that this specialisation adds to the studio’s appeal by offering practitioners a focused and enriching experience in the Vinyasa style.

Another notable aspect for us is the proficiency in English among the teachers. Many people we spoke with commended this as well, praising their ability to communicate effectively, ensuring all participants comprehend the instructions.

Plus, many appreciated how the teachers readily demonstrated poses and guided their students whenever challenges in understanding arose. With this, we like how they use various modes of communication to foster clarity in the learning process.

We also found it convenient that Om Ganesha Yoga offers short classes, catering to individuals who may be in the area for a brief period but still wish to partake in classes.

However, we noted that Om Ganesha Yoga’s facilities aren’t air conditioned, like the other yoga studios in the area. There are several fans, though, which helps in alleviating the heat, although we’re quite concerned how effective they will be during summer.

Additionally, we think that the commitment to education is evident, as the studio regularly hosts Yoga Teacher Training Certifications and workshops.

Although, with Wild Rose Yoga’s many outstanding qualities, we were disappointed to find negative feedback regarding the attitude of the instructors. For instance, a patron mentioned she found the instructor unapproachable.

Also, some mentioned that the classes are quite demanding. So, we think Wild Rose Yoga Studio may not be ideal for beginners.

Nonetheless, we’re very happy with the studio’s highly dedicated staff, who contribute significantly to the overall positive atmosphere. For us, their commitment adds a personal touch to the yoga experience, fostering a sense of community and support.
